Whenever I try to explain this to Freepers as the reason for much of Bush's policy I get flammed. Oh well. The truth it the truth. We are called to treat the alien amoung us as our own. God's word.

and that's why so many catholic schools around the country are closing. the middle class pay too much in taxes and can't afford parochial schools, migrants are too poor to afford the tuition, the Bishops and priests usually support democrats and social programs and ignore republicans who make school choice and vouchers as part of their platform.
So, what you have are closed Catholic schools, minorities stuck in public schools, high taxes, a bloated social service agency and abortion on demand. Not to mention open borders for the 14,000 non-Hispanics who enter our country illegally, al qaeda perhaps?

Jesus also said we should to render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's.
In this case Caesar, our government, has laws that regulate immigration.
In other words Jesus is telling me to be kind to the stranger and alien, but he also saying the law must be obeyed. And if the law is to be obeyed, then illegals should not be here in this country.
Do you disagree with this interpretation? And if so, how?

I've read your posts on this thread. What are you suggesting? That we become a theocracy based on YOUR interpretation of Christian scripture? You are what the founding fathers feared when they formed this nation. What next, maybe a Muslim Theocracy to rule the US?
You are welcome to aid and love the illegal alien lawbreaker all you want. Just don't insist I must. Even the Christian religion that we both love cannot rule this country or it ceases to be this country.

Why don't we just get all the billions of people in the world in here and then fight it out!
