Look at the context of those verses Ray.
Israel was a Theocracy, there was no division between spiritual and civil matters.
As a consititutional republic, there is a division-- we should render to Caesar (figuratively) those things which apply to law and civil authority--and for people of faith, render to God the things that are God's.
The problem many people have is distinguishing between the two kingdoms which exist in this present age.
Thanks Walter. That is the point I was trying to make from the beginning of this discussion. The problem many christians have regarding this matter is just that. There are 2 kingdoms. The right and the left.
People feel good about themselves that they are extra compassionate becuse they want to ignore some of our laws to help those here Illegally. They are not really helping the issue, they are exploiting those here illegally. And hurting our own citizens.
Rather that sponsoring others they demand that we all,
through higher taxes, support those who are here illegally.All that does is make them feel better.
I have a brother in law (who is a policeman)whose son was killed by an Illegal here who was drunk and killed his son.
The Illegal Mexican was known to be here illegally, but of course that did not matter to him. Now that man runs back and forthnover the border but will never pay for his crime. My brother in laws son is just as dead.
My son had a car accident with a man here illegally, who admitted he was wrong and caused the accident until the police arrived and then his perfect english of course he forget. He claimed he knew no English and could only speak Spanish. Of course he got away totally free and my son had to pay for his own repairs. Real fair right?
