Blasphemous cartoons unacceptable, says Crocker (BARF Alert)
Dawn ^ | 4 February 2006 | Dawn (Pakistan)

ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: US Ambassador to Pakistan Ryan C. Crocker said on Friday that the blasphemous cartoons published in certain European newspapers were offensive to Muslims and did not reflect respect for their religious beliefs.

In reply to a question, the ambassador said: “These cartoons do not reflect in anyway the views of the American people towards Islam.”

“We believe that inciting religious or ethnic hatred in this manner is not acceptable. We stand for tolerance and respect for all communities and for their religious beliefs and practices.”

The US, said Mr Crocker, recognized and respected freedom of the press and expression, but pointed out that this freedom must be coupled with a sense of press responsibility to respect others as well.

Me neither.

That's funny too, because NY just gave permission from Muslim and Jewish symbols to be used in public schools but not a nativity scene. It must be me. I wouldn't be surprised if the Quran makes it to the public schools before any prayer (much less a bible), gets there.

Now that was deep...

Too bad they couldn't protest the suicide bombings and beheadings with such zeal. My friend had a picture of a Arab woman showing her "Nokia" cell phone with a message "If we boycott for 36 days it will really hurt their economics (Danes and others)". Now though Nokia's from Finland... and they're in the 7th Century... I don't get it. The yutes in France were text messaging each other during the 3 week BBQ... hmmm tech advances... western... they like those... why? I don't get it.

“These cartoons do not reflect in anyway the views of the American people towards Islam."

You care to take a poll on that Mr. Ambassador?

The truth of these cartoons is self evident for anyone with half a brain.

Tonight my wife and I had some friends over (8 friends), and the guys drank all 12 bottles of Carlsberg beer my wife bought earlier. The women drank mainly wine, and they don't make wine in Denmark, or if they do, I don't know about it.

Carlsberg beer is quite good. So go out, buy Carlsberg (or Tuborg), and you'll accomplish several things: 1) You'll be drinking some fine beer; 2) you'll be pissing off muslims because you're purchasing and consuming products from Denmark; and 3) you'll be pissing off muslims because you'll be drinking beer.

If you want to add some fuel to the fire, buy some Danish ham to eat while you drink your Danish beer.

Also, when Islamic papers made fun of the Pope, Christians and Jews, where was there righteous indignation?

The MSM didn't report on the celebrations in the West Bank by Palestinians cheering and dancing in the street with joy at the bombing of the WTC because the PLO's leadership contacted the corporate heads and told them their photo-journalists would be killed if they did and they would no longer be able to report in the region. Its a money game for the MSM. They've already sold their souls to the Islamofascists. And hardly anyone knows about the Saudis doing the same in our command center there right in front of our own boys. Wake up America. We are at war and the only ones not armed for battle is us.

Speak for yourself, you diplomatic toad.

In they absence of something much harsher they can reflect my disrespect and utter contempt for Islam and ts murderous, demented practitioners just fine.

You are not fit to represent this great nation. You are weak, spineless and crave approval from your barbarian hosts.

The American media doesn't have the balls to publish the cartoons. They are too busy disparaging the country and our armed forces.
