Since I first mentioned Judith Apter Klinghoffer and Little Green Football's idea to "Buy Danish" to support Denmark in the cartoon wars, a bunch of new websites and campaigns have been launched. I've compiled a few resources below. A special request for those of you getting ready to stock up for Super Bowl Sunday: Skip the nachos and Velveeta cheese. Go Danish!

The Buy Danish blog provides this helpful list of Danish products:

Food:
Arla milk, cheese etc.
Knorr seasonings
Danish crown (meat)
Lurmaerket Butter

Danish Bacon
Thor Fish
Danisco Food

Candy:
Toms (chocolate)
HAribo
LAgermann
Galle & Jessen

Beverages:
Tuborg Beer
Carlsberg Beer
Aalborg Aquavit (snaps)

Medicine:
Novo

Cigarettes:

Prince (Dont start smoking because of this fire!)

Clothings:
H2O
Hummel
Per Reumert

Shoes:
Ecco
Jaco

Danish Design:
Royal Copenhagen
Georg Jensen
Stelton
PH-lamps
Lego (toys)
Brio (toys)
Raadvad (knives etc.)

Trip Trap
HTH- kitchen
Morsoe (Fireplaces)
Royal Danish Porcelain
B & G Porcelain
Vesta (Windmills)
B & O radioes/televisions etc.

Other:
Watco Danish Furniture Oil

Buy Danish yarn.

Denmark's exporter directory.

The Danish Food shop
Danish Deli Food
LEGO

More stuff made in Denmark.

Davids Medienkritik has an excellent Buy Danish post.

Check out the Support Denmark page (hat tip: Paul Belien of the indispensable Brussels Journal).

Sign a petition in support of the staff of the Jyllands-Posten newspaper.

Write the Danish embassy:

FReeper Anders Toft, who is in Denmark, says that Knorr foods are actually German... I found out AFTER I bought some. Oh well. But I made up for it and bought some more Danish Havarti and fontina cheeses today. And he also reports that the Danish companies are seeing profits from this campaign!

Buy Danish - Don't put it on our cows. MUH...

Thanks for the heads-up on Knorr. I'll try to find another Danish import item.

How about creating this headline? "Escalation of Anti-Muslim Rants Tied to Increased Consumption of Danish Beer"

I'll do my part :)

I also tried the Arla havarti w/ jalapenos (under the Dofino brand name). Very good. A little zing but not too hot (like some pepper cheeses.) I'm looking forward to trying their havarti w/ dill. Are there any Danish crackers to go with this cheese?
