[down near the bottom of the story is the local Silicon Valley reaction]
Imams at mosques across the Bay Area addressed the issue during worship Friday afternoon, asking congregants to "respond in the spirit of Islam,"said Samina Faheem-Sundas, executive director of the American Muslim Voice, a Newark-based non-profit, educational group.
Faheem-Sundas was critical not just of the Danish newspaper that first published the caricatures last year, but also of the Mercury News, for running the story about the furor that resulted, and a photo of one of the caricatures.
Ibrahim said CAIR will step-up its local education campaign about Islam and Muslims, similar to interfaith community dialogues it held last year when it distributed copies of the Koran, Islam's holy book.

Wow. I like your work. No offense, but it makes me think of a sober Michael Savage. But, I like Savage.

CAIR will step-up its local false propaganda campaign about Islam and MuslimsFixed

Maybe it's because the Europeans have their backs to the wall, but suddenly they are showing a lot more backbone. Angela Merkel, the new German Prime Minister, is showing a lot more courage than George "Religion of Peace" Bush.
The European media also is showing a lot more courage than their American counterparts who are more interested in political correctness than freedom of the press.
As jobs in the media continue to decline, I wonder where underachievers in Liberal Arts will go (in lieu of J-school).

Ibrahim said CAIR will step-up its local education campaign about Islam and Muslims,...What a great idea from our friends at CAIR!
Perhaps in the spirit of brotherhood and ecumenical friendship - using their own words - I can help...
...there. I feel better already having done my part in expanding our mutual cultural understanding, dialogue and goal-setting.
Anything to help out our friends at CAIR!

There will be more events, highlighting and presenting the true face of Islam..
This is good...
More folks need to be hammered into reality, and forced to recognize that Islam is the self declared enemy of Western Civilization...
There are no PEACEFUL sects of Islam..
They all read from the same Koran...
There is no "NEW TESTAMENT" for the Koran...they remain "old testament" fundamental lunatics.
There has been no "reformation" of Islam.
A "Moderate Muslim" is simply one who hasn't yet worked up the courage to pull the pin on his grenade and hurl it into a crowd of "non believers"....
Arm thyself neighbors - the bastards are bringing the fight to YOU.

Lucky for us, the moonbats are too stupid to recognize what an achilles heel their cult is literally built around.

I especially like the notion of our local congregants responding in the spirit of Islam. I guess that means we can look forward to some Bay Area beheadings, suicide bombings, kidnappings, and embassy burnings in the coming days. Yeah, no kidding! You can scream that at the top of your lungs until the numbers tally into the thousands.
Afterall, according to the Quran itself, their "spirit of islam" translates to anyone else's spirit of hate, death, and oppression for non-muslims. Yet, people continue to want to believe things that aren't true. Oh well... History is replete with what happens to those peoples.

which cowardly muslim violence did they have in mind..."accidentally" spilled kegs of roofing nails across all the lanes on both decks of the Bay Bridge, plus the G.G. & R-S.R. bridges during rush hour?

``The feeling behind all this is it's a lack of respect,'' said Safaa Ibrahim, executive director of CAIR in Santa Clara. ``It's an insult.'' Of course there's a lack of respect. Tell us, what has islamic civilization given the world so that we should respect it?
Jews have contributed vastly more to the advancement of world civilization in the last hundred years than all of the muslims in all of history, yet anti-semitism seems to be universal in the muslim world and children, children who may very well have survived infancy only because of the accomplishments of Jewish scientists, are steeped in it since birth. Jews are 'pigs and apes' and thirst for the blood of Palestinian infants. Can we respect that?
Muslims are enslaved by belief in the words of a false prophet, who invented a religion which enriched him with plunder and justified his lusts, and which none may leave upon pain of death. Should we respect that?

The Muslims KNOW that cartoons can show things 10,000 words cannot..
Waiting for the Cartoon that shows 50 something Muhammad marrying Aisha(girl) 9 years old.. as the pedophile he was..
OR Muhammads "men servants" mere boys as the Homo pedophile that he was.. OR BOTH.. in the same cartoon..
Cause MoMo was a switch hitter on a pedophile binge.. Course the bomb in the Turban cartoon does have a Cat in the Hat inferences to it..

I'd happily boycott any Arab product...IF THERE WAS ONE.Unfortunately, there is only one Middle Eastern product. It's black, gooey, smelly, pumped out of the ground and shipped all over the world in big ships called "tankers." Better buy a bicycle and stop using all plastics.
