I quit 12 years ago but thought I'd tell you that cigs in Japan are one of the few bargains available to consumers here - about $ 2 a pack .

In Ukraine a pack of Marlboros costs twice as much as other brands, about 3.75 Hrivnas or about $0.70/pack.

I wish I had filled my suitcase full of them when I left!

I hope the high taxes being paid in other states doesn't come to Oklahoma. Here I can choose to go to the local Love's convenience store and buy a carton for $33.19 total or I can drive over to the nearest smoke shop (about 25 miles) and pay $23.75 a carton. That's for Marlboro Light 100 box. I usually end up going to the smoke shop since I'm over that way on a regular basis for dr. appointments.

A friend of mine smokes an off brand called Cambridge and she gets hers for $16.00 a carton.

At some point we have a new law which will go into affect where all restaurants will become nonsmoking. I had thought it was supposed to be January 1st of this year but we're still able to smoke in most restaurants.
