Baby hurt in rocket strike: Three people were injured Friday after a Qassm rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit their house. A seven-months-old baby sustained head wounds, while his father and another person suffered light to moderate wounds.
The infant was evacuated to the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva in serious condition, while the other two were taken by ambulance to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
The Qassam hit the carra-villa (luxury mobile home) in which the three were staying in kibbutz Karmiya at the time of the attack. The victims of the attack are Gaza Strip evacuees
More details to follow.
Oh, it's just a "settler." Never mind then.

PUSH GAZA INTO THE SEA!
A rock is a missile. Toss a larger one at the vermin who threw the first one.
I don't know what would happen but it would be more than just talk.
And many Mexicans are looking at Americans in Texas and California as "illegal settlers."
Update:
Qassam strike: Four people, including baby, hurt after Qassam hits their mobile home in kibbutz Karmiya south of Ashkelon. Infant injured after sustaining head wounds; home belongs to Gaza evacuees
Baby hurt in rocket strike: Four people were injured Friday after a Qassm rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit their house. A one-year-old baby sustained light wounds, while the father and his brother-in law suffered light to moderate injuries.
Initial reports said the infant sustained serious wounds, but hospital officials said he was hurt by the falling ceiling and apparently did not suffered any cuts or shrapnel wounds. The baby's mother suffered from anxiety and was taken to hospital as well.
A short while later, two more Qassam rockets landed in the area. One Qassam damaged a structure in Ashkelon's southern industrial zone.
Responding to the attack, IDF sources said the army will offer a "harsh, extended response" to the strike. Meanwhile, IDF forces directed artillery fire at northern Gaza Strip areas used as Qassam rocket launching sites.
The wounded infant was evacuated to the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva in serious condition and immediately rushed into the trauma unit. Doctors sedated the infant, who also underwent a CT scan.
The father and his brother-in-law were taken by ambulance to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
The Qassam hit the carra-villa (luxury mobile home) in which the three were staying in kibbutz Karmiya at the time of the attack.
The 30-year-old father and 28-year-old mother are Gush Katif evacuees who in recent months lived in a mobile home neighborhood at the kibbutz along with other former Gaza residents. Following news of the attack, many concerned family members rushed to Soroka hospital.
Mofaz: Hamas fired rockets last week
A Magen David Adom ambulance service paramedic dispatched to the scene discovered the baby hurt in the attack is his grandson.
"The Qassam fell right in the middle of the cara-villa," said the paramedic, Yossi Cohen. "It made the parents and baby fly. When we arrived they were lying on the floor."
Another paramedic, Koby Zeltzer, treated the baby and said: "The child was hurt in the forehead and nape. Such injury can lead to internal bleeding and cranial pressure. We'll be able to know the baby's condition with certainty only following a CT scan."
In the last two weeks, the IDF refrained from responding to Qassam fire from Gaza and also avoided resorting to artillery fire at rocket launching sites. However, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Thursday Hamas was involved in at least two Qassam rocket attacks in the past week along with Fatah and Islamic Jihad.
Mofaz stressed nobody will be immune to an IDF response regardless of one's organizational affiliation.
Tijuana is across the border from San Diego, but I get what you're saying. If border security remains a "non issue", then there is a good possibility it could happen. There are a couple of important parallels between what is happening here, and over in Israel.
Thanks for the update. Did we expect anything less from the Palissasins?
Any word from your son?
I am sure that is what Olmert is thinking.
The madinah [Israeli government] sucks.
If this is allowed to continue the ugly truth is that there is no reason for Israel to survive.
This will keep up and Hamas will get bigger and longer range rockets and bigger and more deadly payloads.
That's unbelievable.
This is a disgrace! He served the Lord by protecting innocent people, apparently against a tyrannical government. Bless him and keep him safe. Will they let him stay in Israel?
Will continue to pray for his safety and for the Lord to comfort you.
Pinging blurblogger, because he has a prayer thread up. Alouette, you might find the bible quotations applicable to what is happening in Israel. I will ping you to the thread.
It's not on the same level but here is something ironic from the other side of the coin. I'm an Israel citizen for all purposes to Israel. Even though I have not lived in Israel for many many decades.
But I was visiting Israel frequently during the worst of the violence. Show support when there were almost no tourist anywhere.
So what does Israel do a couple of years ago? They decide to penalize just people like myself.
They pass new tax laws.
If a foreigner visits Israel, they pay no VAT.
If an Israeli rents a car or hotel room they pay VAT but their original price is significantly less then a tourist's.
Israel only allows me to enter Israel on an Israeli Passport and marks my American passport with a special visa.
So if I now want to rent a car or a hotel room I must uniquely pay more then either foreign tourists or resident Israelis.
I must pay the tourist rate and then also a 16% VAT.
They are just insane. I visit Israel much less frequently. Actually have no desire to visit at all.
I should add that I've never had to actually pay this because now we never rent a room or a car in my name. So Israel gained nothing except to give me another reason to believe that the Government is crazy.
I did not know you had to apply for Aliyah? I thought any Jew who shows up in Israel is automatically granted citizenship.
Ha. Ha. Ha.
My son and daughter both applied for aliyah. I can't even begin to describe the hoops of fire they both had to jump through to prove they are Jewish. Now my other son, who married a Haredi rabbi's daughter in Jerusalem, but who lives in Russia, did not have to go through so many contortions with the Haredi rabbi's who performed the marriage ceremony (although the U.S. consulate put him through the wringer to prove he is American, but that's another story)
What really grinds my gears is that the Israeli media will always publish these sob stories from would-be immigrants who "can't prove they're Jewish and it's SO HARD to convert!" but never mention that EVERYONE has to go through this crap.
And they have the chutzpah to complain "we need more Jews to make aliyah!"
My son said: "**** them and their aliyah."
