Muslim outrage huh. OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights:
* Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage. * Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage. * A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage. * Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage. * Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage * Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage. * Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage. * Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.
Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.
Come on, is this really about cartoons? They're rampaging and burning flags. They're looking for Europeans to kidnap. They're threatening innkeepers and generally raising holy Muslim hell not because of any outrage over a cartoon. They're outraged because it is part of the Islamic jihadist culture to be outraged. You don't really need a reason. You just need an excuse. Wandering around, destroying property, murdering children, firing guns into the air and feigning outrage over the slightest perceived insult is to a jihadist what tailgating is to a Steeler's fan.
I know and understand that these bloodthirsty murderers do not represent the majority of the world's Muslims. When, though, do they become outraged? When do they take to the streets to express their outrage at the radicals who are making their religion the object of worldwide hatred and ridicule? Islamic writer Salman Rushdie wrote of these silent Muslims in a New York Times article three years ago. "As their ancient, deeply civilized culture of love, art and philosophical reflection is hijacked by paranoiacs, racists, liars, male supremacists, tyrants, fanatics and violence junkies, why are they not screaming?"
Indeed. Why not?
The differences:
White supremacists don't call themselves a peaceful religion. I don't expect them to show ANY outrage over Oklahoma City. They're in the same boat as the Muslims.
Pro-lifers DO take to the streets. I know. I do it myself with them. It just doesn't get to the media when we protest violence. The media would rather portray the pro-life position as kooky than as reasoned.
On the IRA, I'll admit, I don't understand what the deal was there, but as I do understand it, BOTH sides were crazy.
The problem with holding no individual responsible for the groups actions, is that then NO ONE is responsible for anything. Psychologists call this the "diffusion of responsibility."
Making excuses for the lack of Muslim outrage because some other group didn't show outrage for their group's reprehensible actions is an indefensible position in my opinion. Especially in light of the outrage shown over a stupid cartoon drawing . . .
But, hey, maybe you'll like speaking Arabic and wiping yourself left-handed. ;)

The problem with your point of view, is that you are pointing to the more secular Muslims of Iraq. These Muslim soldiers are the exception, not the rule. If America were to leave Iraq, they would be tortured and killed for siding with the US.

Regarding the IRA, I can assure you that the Catholic Church has loudly and formally denounced its violent actions many times. As well, the overwhelming number of Irish Catholics who live in Ireland, in the north and in the Republic, aren't very fond of the IRA, either. Frankly, the IRA draws more support from Irish American wannabes than from the folks who have to live with the violence.
Why WOULD Irish Catholics support the IRA? It isn't as if the IRA has much to do with Catholicism. Or freedom. The IRA is a doctrinaire marxist terrorist group, atheistic and undemocratic to the core, that has influence with a minority of Irish Catholics, but is a real and palpable threat to the lives and limbs of most ordinary Irish Catholics.
On the other hand, over the past few decades, there have been protests against the IRA and the Protestant paramilitary groups that have drawn tens of thousands of Irish citizens, Catholic and Protestant, objecting publicly to the violence perpetrated by these extremists on both sides. Even in the face of threats of violence against them by the IRA and others.
There's the contrast - after September 11, we saw the video of throngs of ordinary Muslims rejoicing at the murder of thousands of innocents. In Ireland, if one was paying attention, one could see throngs of ordinary Catholics AND Protestants protesting peacefully AGAINST sectarian violence.

Let's face it, Majority of Muslims are animals. If you are a practicing Muslim and you say "It's a rare few, out on the fringe, bad apples making us look bad." Then they are idiots too. I was born Baptist, baptized Pesby., married Catholic, which church I now attend. When all that s**t hit the fan regarding pediphiles calling themselves "Men of God" I stopped putting money in the collection plate. I wasn't about to pay for those, FEW sick individuals, court costs. And we're talking about,at the most,a thousand out of hundreds of thousands (worldwide). These Muslim terrorists numbers are much greater than we can even begin to imagine. They call them selves men of Alla (I take it Alla is THE ONE TRUE GOD, right???) Alla has got to be crying his eyes out these HOLYMEN killing others and taking there own lives because that's what GOD/ALLA asks of them. So what kind of GOOD MUSLIM stands by silently, and doesn't just STOP PUTTING MONEY IN THE PREVERBIAL COLLECTION PLATE!!!!!!!
Now, If the TOON made the Muslims MAD, Can you imagine what this would do??? OH, GREAT, PUBLISH IT!!!!!

I'm not buying the BS line that most Muslims don't approve of the current genocide. I see no evidence that the vast majority of Muslims don't approve wholeheartedly.
Absent any evidence, I'll just have to assume the the vast majority of Muslims are bloodthirsty racists bent on murdering everyone who disagrees with them.

It certainly is, but now that they're angry they might do the unthinkable and become violent (hard as it is to believe).
Amen: I could care less about hurt feelings. In a democratic society, they will have to face more hurt feelings. Conservatives and Christians will be able to help them with the problem since the media has blasted them on a daily level for 50 years. The cartoons, the stories against jihadists should be flowing out on a daily level. In those media outputs, the so-called non Islamofascist Muslims could be praised too but when most Muslims ,including sops like CAIR within the USA still are blasting W and our military but not the Wahabbi terrorists, I tire of their PAIN.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. But expecting those who had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism to step forward and apologize on behalf of the psychopaths who did is an extremely pointless, meaningless expectation. Also, another poster put up a link to many Muslims' apologies but I guess that, like your pro-life statement, that "didn't get to the media".
Again, I don't expect pro-Lifers to apologize for Eric Rudolph, nor do I hold pro Lifers responsible for his actions. I don't hold every Protestant/Catholic Irishman responsible for the actions of the IRA. Like a conservative, I hold the individual(s) responsible, not anyone else in Hillary's "village".
I see you're getting all indignant. I hope you're not seriously trying to compare the muslim reaction to 911 with their reaction of late.
The average "idiot" can spot a significant difference between the scattered, whispered, muslim outrage over 911, and the global, screaming, fanatical outrage over a few drawings.
There ought to be a difference in the level of outrage, to be sure, but the muslim world has it exactly backwards.
