ENFIELD - A woman accused of using racial epithets while waiting for food at a Taco Bell drive-through window was arrested Wednesday.
Jennifer Farrelly, 19, of East Windsor, has been charged with ridicule on account of race, creed or color and second-degree breach of peace. Farrelly's boyfriend, Eric Satterlee, 22, of Ashford, was charged with breach of peace in the incident.
On Dec. 18, Farrelly and Satterlee became frustrated by the slow service at the Taco Bell restaurant on Brookside Place, according to an arrest warrant. Farrelly banged on the drive-through window and called the Taco Bell attendant, Jamelle Byrd, a racial epithet, according to the warrant. Satterlee allegedly cursed and banged on the window.
Farrelly denied using racial epithets when she was interviewed by police, saying Byrd caused the dispute by ridiculing her for parking her car far away from the drive-through window, the warrant states. Byrd's supervisor told police that Byrd should not have been working the drive-through because he had gotten into a similar incident with another customer, the warrant states.
Police Chief Carl J. Sferrazza said Byrd was not arrested in the incident.

Some people just have a chip on their shoulder. I had worked at a Stop N Go in Houston (also known as Stop N Rob). After a customer paid for his purchase, I asked "would you like a bag with that". He started screeching, claimed I called him a fag, then accused me of being a racistsexisthomophobicfascistbigotpig.
Yea, it really means that lawyers are getting into the most trivial aspects of our lives and trying to make money off it. So in the past you didn't need a lawyer today you must have one.
I have gotten on a list that pushes "legal insurance" -- so for $29.00 per month you get free legal service and access to a lawyer. The way to get people to sign-up is to tell horror stories like the one in this article and say, "you can get into a law suit doing anything today". And yes it is coming to everyone needing a lawyer to protect themselves.
What a world - what a life??
Rule # 1. Never ridicule people that are preparing your food.
HaHa.
I just heard a Fox News alert saying "It appears the burning of the five churches in Alabama IS NOT racially motivated."
I had commented earlier these must not have been black member majority churches, or the media would have been salivating over it.
I'm for cleaning up our language and nobody using any profanity. My wife was a high school teacher and your average 16 - 17 year-old can't speak in normal English. I would hate to be alive when these kids are 45 and run the world. How bad will it get before it gets better -- but hey in 30 years Muslims will be running the world anyway.
At the restaurant that my relative manages, he has good hard-working employees, many of whom are members of the protected class. They realize that when the restaurant closes that they will be out of a job. Those employees can't understand why many of their fellow members,of the protected class, who are patrons of the restaurant act like fools. The servers, who members of the protected class are refusing to wait on their fellow members, because of the ill-treatment the serves receive and the tips that they do not receive for working hard.
No kidding and if I don't like the service I make sure I don't let them know until after I've received my food and then I don't go back.
Ain't it the truth. Remember the SW Airlines incident where the flight attendant said, "Einie Meanie Minie Mo, pick a seat we gotta go."? SW was sued by two women who claimed it was a racially derogatory rhyme in another phrasing and caused them distress. I'm also in Houston, no way I'd work at an all night cash and carry.
Taco Bell is a quagmire!
???? Never hear of that one. Is there also first and third degree and premeditated breach of peace?
Looks like drudge has picked up on this story....

Slow news day in Hartford?
That's because, the lilly brown/black towns have ruined the suburbs in Connecticut with their crime, drugs and murders.
Enfield, Connecticut.
The incident occurred in Enfield.
I Live there and it is not a 'lily white town'. I bring my daughter swimming at the Lamagna Center during the summer in the Thompsonville section. The kids there are mostly Hispanic and Black.
I live in one of the nicer sections of town, there are a couple of black families on my street and one Hispanic.
