A Spanish speaking friend told me that "Boca Raton" means "mouth of the rat". Is that true?

Yep, we live in good ol' rat's mouth. But you won't get that answer from the liberal elitists here - lol! They cringe when you translate the name for them. They'll insist "No...it's mouse mouth...not rat!!!" Heh.

The Boca Raton inlet has a large body of water we call Lake Boca Raton. It used to serve as a pirate's hideaway/harbor. Pretty cool history.
