Well tell me are you ready for a war with Mexico? If you call them on it thats what it would be. I am not saying we shouldn't call them on it, just stating consequences.
I'm sure the politicians will come up with a bloodless solution(on the Mexican side that is).
Developing the exit strategy will take longer than the war, but I'm ready.
That war is effectively begun. Mexico is making a stealth move to take territory and/or establish freedom of movement north of the border.
In case you hadn't noticed, we are at war with Mexico. At the present time we are being occupied. What do you call land where tens of millions of Mexican nationals are squatting? The U.S.? Hardly.
Spanish now shares equal space with English on the advertisements in my mailbox. Some stores now only have Spanish, not English. Is this the U.S.?
NO!
There will be no war with Mexico unless we initiate, and there is no need for that. The Mexican government will never initiate hostilities with America, they are too smart for that. Our batle is with the cartels. If we build a wall, Mexico may be forced to finally drag their economy, kicking and screaming, out of the narco-republic-thugocracy they currently are and into the realm of responsible nations.
Well tell me are you ready for a war with Mexico? If you call them on it thats what it would be.
Mexico will not go to war with the U.S.
If you call them on it they will back down.
"Well tell me are you ready for a war with Mexico?"
YESTERDAY!
Mexico needs to pull it's troops off the border and send them as far south as they can. OUR people in Washington Had better get a freakin clue or there's going to be hell to pay and that soon.
Since Mexico's said they're 'integrating' with the US, let it be on our terms. We take their oil.
"Well tell me are you ready for a war with Mexico?"
You bet!
Like an L.A. Sheriff friend of mine said about 15 years ago:
Let us take them out, let me know what day and we'll get it done after lunch and before dinner.
Yes. If nothing else, call up the militia as spoken of in the Constitution and described by several writers in the Federalist Papers.
A shooting war? Only as the very last resort. Mexico knows that if we call them on it they will have to back off. But if it comes to a shooting war, then we have to do whatever is necessary to protect and defend our nation and its sovereignty. If we allow incursions then we don't really have a border. If we don't have a border then we are not really a sovereign nation. The Constitution does not give any options here, Article IV Section 4 clearly outlines the duty of the government to protect us from invasion. The oath of office all of our elected officials take clearly demands that they defend our nation. Neither allows the government an out if it comes to a shooting war or if the right lobbyists have them in their pockets.
It would be nice to put Mexico back in its place and it would be even easier than taking out Iraq.
Occupying it, however, would be even worse than Iraq, so I would vote for laying the entire country waste (even more than it is now), grabbing the parts that have oil, and telling the rest of 'em to just die.
It is way past time we started fighting in this war that's been waged against us for years.
Not necessarily. There was no war following the incursion into Mexico by U.S. troops under Blackjack Pershing following the 09 March 1916,Columbus, NM raid by Poncho Villa's banditos. Of course there are many US officeholders whose campaign contributions from Mexico micht be lessened should such a thing come to pass, so don't count on seeing it happen at any time this administration remains in charge.
Under that premise, the U.S. Military can invade Mexico at will and threaten it's citizens and if Mexico doesn't like it, we will declare war with them.
But, of course, them threatening us is, in no way, "war", as you see it, right? In your mind, the Mexican army crossing over into U.S. territory without permission is only a threat if we call them on it. I'm sure you would call it an "act of war" if the U.S. army entered Mexican territory without permission.
We are at war with Mexico--have been for quite some time. As with al Qaeda, denial of the facts doesn't make the war go away, and doesn't make any progress toward winning the war.
