Secret Service Investigates Violent Essay by Seventh Grader

Oh, geez.

Islamofacists at our throats and the government worries about a 7th grader's paper?

Why didn't the teacher just grade it, give it back to him & tell him to stop being a twit?

--------------

Watch out for those 'violent essays'.

One might jump up & give you a massive paper cut or somethin'!

No crime is too small to fall upon with the full force of the United States government!

Particularly crimes committed by a harmless if stupid 12 year old kid who can be fallen upon with no risk of more than the exertion of an air conditioned car ride.

Nevermind the global war against the religion of peace, if we put half the effort into cleaning up the inner cities we do towards criminalizing childhood stupidity maybe you could walk through them at night. Imagine the New Orleans evacuee types all on Ritalin.

Definitely up there in my top 10 dumbest remarks list -- and so many to choose from, too. Is there any way to delete that post?

Still, there's something about this story. Maybe I'm skeptical because there have been a number of bogus stories lately. Remember the student who got interviewed by the FBI because he checked out a copy of Mao's Little Red Book? Remember the story about the Post Office discontinuing religious-themed Christmas stamps? So I'm holding off for a couple of news cycles before I actually start to believe all of this.

If you beg, the mods will usually delete a post if the poster requests. (Sometimes they'll let you stew for a while first). If you get them to delete it, point them here to show that I have no objection to them also deleting my response, which would otherwise preserve it.

Do I sound like I'm experienced on the issue?
