yeah, here's redo of that editorial cartoon. A stab thee islamic terrorists!

for later read...
Like there is some big difference between Fatah and Hamas?
One is a blood-thirsty, Palestinian terrorist organization, and the other is a blood-thirsty, Palestinian terrorist organization.
What the Hell difference does it make?
Centuries of religous brainwashing will do that!
"Destructive beliefs (Islam) that preach hate and discrimination must not be protected. They must be criticized and banned. Prohibiting the criticism of such beliefs, or any belief, is insane!"
I would probably alter the above slightly. Preaching is one thing. Islam teaches the forceful overthrow of all lands for Allah. I think that's probably unconstitutional. Islamic law is also unconstitutional.
Actually that is pure Democracy. However that's not what we have, and not what we should be recommending that others have or pushing them to have. We have a Representative Republic, with the representatives chosen democratically. We (try to) have a government of laws, including the highest law, the Constitution, from which the government derives its only (legitimate) powers, and which protects the rights of all citizens from Governmental infringement. (or attempts to do so).
IOW, not only must they obey their religious laws, which I have no problem with, everyone else must obey them as well. That I have a major, fighting type, problem with. And they are lousy fighters.
Clearly the author hasn't quite got the notion of freedom either. Beliefs are your own, actions may indeed be banned, and that includes direct incitement to those acts. I don't care if you believe I'm going to hell, heck a lot of folks believe that. But I do care if you try to act on the belief that I should go now, or incite others to act on that belief. It's a fine line perhaps, but a very important one.
He's got a point!
Sounds a lot like Venezuela, doesn't it...
Apostasy(leaving Islam) is punishable by death. Mohammed said, "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." Quran; Surah Vol. 9:57
Advocating forcible conversion? I don't think I'm on board.
Destructive beliefs that preach hate and discrimination must not be protected. They must be criticized and banned.
Criticized? Fine. Banning implies government action... a bad precedent that only leads to government control of which beliefs are "acceptable".
Prohibiting the criticism of such beliefs, or any belief, is insane!
Now I'll happily support that notion!
