Justice For Christin Grand Jury Petition Drive
February 2, 2006

It’s simple. It’s easy. It will work. Question is – will you be a part???????

Hey Friends,

Karen Myers here...and I wanted to see if you’re interested in shutting down Tiller’s once and for all!

David Gittrich, Troy Newman, Mark Gietzen, and a host of other pro-life leaders have formed a coalition and – together with about 64 churches and parishes –

we are excited about what promises to be potentially THE FINAL SOLUTION to stopping abortion in Wichita and you can be a part!!!!!!!!

By now, you’ve probably heard about Christin Gilbert, the 19-year-old Down’s Syndrome girl from Texas who died from a third-trimester abortion at the hands of George Tiller. (If you haven’t heard, then your head has been stuck in the sand J but don’t worry because you can watch a 7-minute video at www.justiceforchristin.com)

What you may not know is that (by one of God’s amazing ironies!) Christin’s death may be the undoing of George Tiller.

You see, the county coroner’s office states in their autopsy report that Christin died from “complications of therapeutic abortion.” How much clearer can it be?!?

So Troy and David and Mark and I and Cheryl and Michele and some others got together and brainstormed – and we talked with attorneys – and brainstormed some more – and took papers to attorneys – and brainstormed some more – and ultimately came up with what hopefully will be

the three-step plan that sounds ABORTION’S DEATH KNELL for George Tiller’s empire of doom.

It’s a petition for common people like you and Ito sign and circulate. It simply requests a grand jury to investigate Tiller and his staff in the death of Christin Gilbert and, by law, when we get enough signatures and turn the petition in, Sedgwick County mustconvene a grand jury and do exactly that!!!!!

It’s guaranteed to work. All we need are signatures.

As I said earlier, the Justice for Christin project has already launched in dozens of area churches and parishes and we’ve already collected about 2500 signatures. (If your church HASN’T done this, then ask your pastor why not. We have a packet you can request for your congregation.)

However, we need to gather more names – 40,000 to be exact – by Wednesday, March 1st! I cannot do it alone and neither can David Gittrich (no matter how appreciated he may be) or Troy Newman (no matter how effective he may be).

That’s why we need YOUR HELP!

We don’t know all your friends and neighbors, your coworkers and relatives, so would you please be a part of shutting Tiller down by doing three things?

1 – Go to the website and print out copies of the petition (one page, front and back). Place them on a clipboard with a pen. 2 – Take the petition everywhere – to work, to your PTA meeting or homeschool group, to your golf buddy, to your neighborhood, and ask these folks to sign it. You can even ask the cashier at Wal-Mart! Click here for a list of area venues and events. 3 – Turn in your signed pages at the Kansans for Life office (2501 E Central) any Saturday morning from 10-11 AM and we’ll notarize them for you! Deadline is March 1st.

Twenty-eight days. The petition reaches the courthouse. Want to see Tiller quake in his boots?

Then let's get out and do three things!!!

Why did her family wait until she was 28 weeks pregnant to take her for an abortion?

it's still killing a baby--whether it's at 8 weeks or 28
weeks.

In this case, waiting until 28 weeks had the effect of killing the mother. I find it hard to believe that this girl's parents didn't know she was pregnant earlier than this. And was their relationship such that the girl wouldn't have told her parents she was raped? Or was she having consensual sex, and her parents had their heads in the sand about that?
