the President stated the current immigration situation is a bureaucratic nightmare and the Border Patrol is overstressed due to people [illegal immigrants] streaming across [the border].
The ONLY bureaucratic nightmare is his consistent determination to eliminate our southern border while looking like he cares about it to his core constituents.
While I do believe he is a good man in general, he is an ardent globalist with little or no regard for or national sovereignty.
The very basic function of the federal government is to protect us from invasion - something his administration absolutely refuses to do.
Cordially,
GE

Just received a phone call from the RNC, asking for an emergency donation of $150.
Although it pained me to say it...can you guess what I told them?

What can anyone say? President Bush has earned an A+ in the War on Terror, but an F- in immigration.

We are being prepped for the big news that is coming within 10 years - the Canadian and Mexican borders are soon to be gone and we will be one country - North America.
Bush and Bush Sr. are globalist through and through. Do you remember the Bush Sr. speech to Congress immediately following the victory in Iraq during the Gulf War? Do you remember the mantra - the victors represented the New World Order. This victory is heralding the age of the New World Order. It was &%cking blasphemous.
GW is purposely NOT DOING ANYTHING about the illegal immigration problem. He's got his marching orders and he's not going to do anything to truely deter illegal immigration and interrupt the course of the New World Order.
All you TRUE AMERICANS had better learn to shutup and comply with the New World Order, or else.....

The problem with our border security and immigration policy in the US is that we haven't had one for over 30 years. And, there is nobody in a position of power in Washington who gives a damn enough to do anything.
We are essentially being invaded by Mexican military personnel on the payroll of the drug lords and we do NOTHING. I just don't understand why the US military is not patrolling the border. They are shooting at us!! I had two friends that were full-time Catholic missionaries in Allende Mexico which is about 45 minutes South of Eagle Pass, TX. I was more scared for their safety as I was for my soldier friends in Iraq. At least in Iraq, the soldiers can kill anybody that shoots at them. In Texas, the border agents are essentially sitting ducks.
The average poor Mexican would not cross the border and challenge the military. Only the druggies and bad guys would take us on. At least that would finally put us head-to-head with the bad guys.
I am currently reading Tom Clancy's book "Clear and Present Danger". The cool part of this book is that the President finally had the manhood to attack the bad guys coming into the US. Clancy was way ahead of his time in his analysis of the border situation. In the book, a US fighter jet patrolled the border and shot down the druggies.
If we want to say we are at war with Drugs and Terror. We should at least defend ourselves from these attackers at our most vulnerable place.
Why does this seem so obvious? If the bad guys are coming in there - we have to go there to stop them!

I didn't see the Tuesday night address, but I understand that it could have been given by the late Nelson A. Rockefeller as far as the content. Is that correct?

I hate being lumped into this category - "conservative" - when I don't agree with the assumption.
Just because I don't agree with how the President does some things doesn't mean I think he's doing a BAD job. I'm sick of being told I don't approve of him or his policies.
So .. just for the record .......

President Bush continues to maintain a contradictory and perilous position regarding illegal immigration, claiming his plan does not amount to amnesty.... Standard American language usage contravenes the Presidents specious explanation in that his plan clearly overlooks the offense of illegal aliens who entered this country in violation of law and would not seek prosecution; a full amnesty within contextual and explicit meaning.
The thing that bugs me is his thinking we're stupid and can't add 2+2.
Shut down the border; register ALL illegals; NO promises.

We need to support the President.
George Bush is right. There are jobs Americans Won't Do.
The most conspicuous such job is the job of enforcing our immigration laws.
So. We all need to get behind President Bush, and help him find someone who will do the job he won't do.
Vicente Fox, anyone?

I had a call from the RNC on Tuesday. Apparently, they are getting turned down a lot because of the immigration issue. 'Said I'd write checks again when I hear of massive deportations of ILLEGALS.
