To be honest, I think Lou Dobbs has one of the best shows on cable news.

If I worked at CNN, I'd be depressed too.

He used to. Lately though he seems bitter and a one note johnny. I can't watch him anymore. I've always wondered if a part of the deal with CNN to get his show back was to change his stripes from a pro capitalist business commentator to a leftist political hit man.

"Blue Lou" - I think that was the name of the sax player in the Blues Brothers Band. But that one was entertaining. Lou Dobbs is dull, drab and a whiner. To hear Lou tell it, the US is about to blow up because of what the Bush Administration is doing - or isn't doing. Yup, we're all doomed. Don't believe me? Ask Lou. Oh woe is us. It's all over but the screaming. We are doomed, doomed, doomed, and there's not a damned thing we can do about it.

Lou, you lucky son-of-a-gun. You really do produce the same show everyday - and get paid a king's ransom for it.

I am very, very jealous. My clients, by contrast, actually expect to think. Oy! Where did I go wrong?

And how do you feel when the commercials come on?...you know the ones - the little depressed looking puff ball that cheers up once the pitchman's voice starts discussing Zoloft.

I like Mr. Dobbs' show as well.
But I did note that he seemed close to having his head explode when
John Fund stood his ground.
When Lou didn't get the expect "amen" from Fund, he was steamed.

Dobbs is unwatchable.

Think Al Franken without the humor and wit. Yes, that bad.

Admittedly, I have not watched him as of late. But I thoroughly enjoyed his show throughout the previous couple of years. He does a great job on illegal immigration, and clearly states and argues for his economic beliefs(like them or not, at least he is honest).

It's a difficult job but someone has to do it. He keeps politicians honest :)

At least he made people aware that we have problems on the border!

He has good guests on as well most times for rebuttals.
Can you all honestly say that you agree with everything our Government does.....always??

Lou is like Wolfman Blitzer, a derailment in the making. Both of these pompous asses don't realize how foolish they look while they preen and prance about on the Titanic of television - CNN.

"To be honest, I think Lou Dobbs has one of the best shows on cable news."

I've started watching him every day just to see him lambast the administration over the immigration fiasco. I like him better than Bill O.

We try to catch every Lou Dobbs show.

His Broken Borders and Communist China's Red Star Rising reports are eye openers. He's a great American who loves this country. God Bless Lou.

Bill O'Reilly, though I like him, hardly even discusses politics anymore.

Who would you recommend? Who's not a "pompous ass".

I've always thought of Dobbs as an aspiring Tonelson, PCR and Hawkins. He repeats himself as often as they do and always has his doom meter set on overload.

"..in spite of the fact that we added some 300,000 auto jobs in this country in the years after NAFTA passed."

If this in in fact true, I suspect its the result of foreign manufacturers (e.g. German and Japanese) opening factories here.

The astute geographer will note that neither of those 2 countries are in North America, and were therefore unaffected by NAFTA.
