Where are all the cop supporters that flamed me two weeks ago because I said the kid in the Florida school shooting was murdered. It happens more than you know, and this video is an example. This video is disgusting. I hope this cop goes to jail for a long time.
I don't know. My limited experiences with good cops versus bad cops runs about 50/50. (Most of the "good" experiences were when I had summoned them myself or in a non-crime way, such as educational efforts, community projects, etc.)
In the other case, the kid had what appeared to be a gun and the opportunity to shoot at others through the bathroom window. Sorry, but in that case you may have to shoot first and ask questions later (since all reports are that the kid didn't try to surrender and had every indication of wanting to take people with him.)
In this case, the men are clearly on the ground in accordance with instructions, are cooperating, and should have presented little threat - if the deputy had followed standard felony stop procedures. Having been on both ends of a felony stop, I can tell you that the deputy blew it, big time.
Saying that this isn't the same thing as that case because this guy didn't do anything threatening
... where as the dead "kid" in Florida pointed a pellet gun at the officer and said pellet gun was indistinguishable from a 9MM ... so put away your soapbox
In that sit, no one knew the gun was not real. Also, the cops were waiting it out. The boy chose to come out and confront them. In case you don't know, the phone records revealed the father never talked to the cops. The boy was not murdered. He chose to commit suicide.
