The Golden Globe Award went to this same film. I have no idea what it's about other than I've heard it "humanizes" terrorists. But I have to say I'm surprised that Hollywood has gone so far as to nominate this for Foreign Film the same year it's nominated Munich for Best Picture, and list it as being from "Palestine". Such blatant siding with the liberal side in Israel is unusual.
It's going to be a disgusting show this year, no doubt about that. Glorified terrorists, gays and trans-sexuals, anti-American movies, distorted "historical movies", the usual non-stop lame jokes about conservatives...and the most boring host they've ever had.
Who wants to see these people for three hours, hosted by John Stewart? This is going to be a liberal night to party, the one night they have the attention of the American people without being hampered. Four hours of nonstop Bush insults, lectures about oil, Katrina and Iraq, by the openly anti-American punks in BBM (not to mention Gyllenthal's (sp?)sister, who said we had 9-11 coming)? No thanks.
But THIS thing is really out there. Has Hollywood decided to recognize Palestine as an independent state? I bet when this nomination is announced it gets huge applause.
I still love fashion, though; and even if it's on THOSE people, I will watch the pre-Oscar fashion show, and then, sadly ....do something else after that for the rest of the evening.
So sad how they did this to themselves...and they just don't get it.
...but these lefties still support the troops, right?
Hollywood libs don't seem to do too well on that whole "logic" thing.
...don`t forget the Bush bashing as well.
I think that Islam will become the new fad religion of Hollywood within the next year or so.
I was reading the "oscar buzz" threads on the IMDB board and conservatives were complaining about the movies and one guy said "You have the Presidency, Congress, the courts, let us keep Hollywood". Well I thought that was hilarious. But maybe that's how they all see it now, with these agenda movies. Not much entertainment in those, and not much revenue either!
Sure... Osama's "troops" get their support, Hamas' "army" of bomb makers get their support.
It is sickening (but instructive) to see how the far left and the neo-Nazi kooks are converging. A common theme, besides their hatred of America, is their hatred of Israel and their rabid Judeophobia.
