WASHINGTON -- While jumping up on cue to cheer during the speech and delivering rave reviews afterward in the Capitol's Statuary Hall, conservative members of Congress were deeply disappointed by George W. Bush Tuesday night. It was not merely that the president abandoned past domestic goals. He appeared to be moving toward bigger government.
The consensus on the Right was that President Bush's fifth State of the Union Address was his worst. Republican congressmen agreed privately that he was most effective at the beginning with his familiar message of why U.S. forces cannot abandon Iraq. The problem for these lawmakers was the rest of the 51-minute presentation, which was filled with unpleasant surprises.

LOL
Sure, why not.
In the IL legislature, he purposefully blocked legislation to stop infanticide...botched abortions that ended with a baby dying of neglect on a shelf in a hospital closet.
Same terroristic spirit as Hamas, in my book...
That's the other problem; bless her heart, she's always about 100 posts behind.
If you have a computer store anywhere near you I would suggest you check there.....getting a mouse that is comfortable to work with is a very personal thing...the Wireless mice I have are heavy...but I haven't looked at the ones I linked you too.
I'm not saying you're a liar, but I would like to see some proof of that.
What's a "notebook mouse" and why do I need one of those?
You've gone so far over to the dark side, you're sick.
You're beneath contempt.
You have no shame. Just like Clinton.
What a totally AWFUL remark.
You are correct there Ernest. This one I have is slightly heavier than the wired mouse, mainly because the wireless mouse has two AA batteries in it. But it is slightly bigger though, and feels real comfortable in the palm of my hand when I use it.
Huh? I`M NOT A REAL REBULICAN?
Think you might have the wrong guy
You don't even know the difference between dark and light anymore, Howlin.
I had high hopes of finding the start of "Donner Party Conservatives" here at FR, before I ran out of steam.
Like the renewed excitement upon finding an old Mena or Ron Brown thread, there is a satisfaction in finding a piece of lore. No, it's not the Holy Grail. It's naught but a fleeting whimsy on a silly subject. But at least it is fun, and funny, and it kept me (and no doubt a few others) entertained for a few hours. "Idle hands" and all that. But I'm not sure which side of the scale I fall, in that one. Hmmmm.
Why will I "never look at my computer in the same way again"? I am VERY bad at using a mouse. ( My husband has a computer and a mouse and I have tried to use it a couple of times. )
The borders will NEVER be closed.
We had the golden opportunity on 9-12-01.
It'd take another terrorist hit that could be traced to our porous borders.
Which remark? About Obama?
Y'all still shilling for him?
I think people confuse cheerleading with being conservative. You bring up many points I agree with, and sadly, those points were not brought out in the speech.
Howlin will ask deport later this morning.
I thought so too...he is much better in a less formal setting!
He just delivers a very effective conversation!
The elite Media don't care for it though!
Yet he continues to this day to run circles around you in the arena of ideas and it just sets your hair on fire.
Upon what do you base this characterization of Keyes?
Just curious...
