WASHINGTON -- While jumping up on cue to cheer during the speech and delivering rave reviews afterward in the Capitol's Statuary Hall, conservative members of Congress were deeply disappointed by George W. Bush Tuesday night. It was not merely that the president abandoned past domestic goals. He appeared to be moving toward bigger government.
The consensus on the Right was that President Bush's fifth State of the Union Address was his worst. Republican congressmen agreed privately that he was most effective at the beginning with his familiar message of why U.S. forces cannot abandon Iraq. The problem for these lawmakers was the rest of the 51-minute presentation, which was filled with unpleasant surprises.

I love RR, in fact one of my grandcritters is named after him. But, Reagan was no GWB. Both are great men and were/are super Presidents.
But, don`t forget the Marines in Lebanon, 9/ 11, Ben Losing a lot lately, and Sadammmn. Ronnie took the bullets away from our troops and then, after the bombing, loaded the survivors on ships and sailed away. George took out the Taliban and Uncle Sadaaammnn

First of all, I NEVER said that deport began the use of the term here. I concur. I posted a link that a casual look would assg deport the honors. A creful look would credit someone else, but by minutes, not by weeks
Secondly, it appears that your short term memory is absolutely dreadful!
It's better than my long term memory though, by far.
Thirdly, if I actually believed that you would take my word for which thread/s I found it on, I'd post that, but you demanded a link; which I am unable to do.
Well, now, that is a full of crap promise. Give me the title of the thread, or describe how you find the original reference to "Donner Party Conservatives." You don't have to link it, just use the English language to put me on the treasure hunt.
Fourthly, since you childishly crave a flame war, above all else ...
A flame war is a bonus. I'd like to find the original "Donner Party" insult - that would make my day. And you have a handle on that, so I'm enaging you for assistance.

Geeze Bob, get a life. You are absolutely wrong again. Well, has anyone added up the price tag for Bush's latest pile of Big Stupid Government BS? Will this guy never stop trying to piss away every cent the American taxpayer can muster?
His spending spree is getting awfully damn tiresome. Why don't politicians just leave us the hell alone? What did we ever do to them? I can think of a few things we ought to do to big-spending parasites . . . . . .

You're a truly sad person.Sad is being on a thread like this, trying to prove you're so much better than everybody else by insinuating nobody except you and your buddy RM understands the world of politics.
I pity you.
Well, I'm sure you're pretty familiar with pity.
