The president went to Nashville, Tennessee, today, to give a speech on his 2006 agenda.
He signed a proclamation in honor of American Heart Month.
There are pick up photos from last night of Associate Justice Alito's ceremonial swearing in, and from the president's State of the Union speech.
Welcome to Sanity Island!!!!!

I'm 22 and I'm jealous too. But then again, I'm lazy and never exercise so I don't really have an excuse.

Then I need to take up biking..because mine are skinny, they need muscle. My legs and arms are a twig, and my tummy has blubber...ick. Although I'm doing good...I've lost close to 3 inches in my waist in a few weeks. I have to keep up doing bodypump and yoga/pilates.

To: STARWISE
I just concluded watching his Nashville speech. I LOVE THIS PART at the very end.
I hope you get the sense of my optimism about the country. I told you mine is a decision-making job. I first learned that when ...a guy called me and said, "What color rug do you want in the Oval Office?" I said, man, this is a decision-making job. What color rug do I want? The second thing about decision-making is you've got to know when it's time to delegate. So not knowing much about rug designing, I said, "Laura, give me a hand." And the third thing about my job is you've got to set a strategic vision. I set the strategic vision last night for our country: Active in the pursuit of our own security and the spread of freedom; confident in our ability to compete in the world; understanding we need to continually re-commit ourselves to serving others. And so I said, "Laura, the only thing I want is that rug to say -- you figure out how to say it -- is [an] optimistic person comes here to work every day." And she captured my spirit, because I am optimistic about our future."
He got a little choked up when he said those last words.
He was a joy to watch as he gave this speech.

LOL! Well one of the ways that the President has inspired me was to get into a very regular exercise program.
He said something like, "I'm President of the United States. If I'm not too busy to exercise, then you're not too busy too exercise."
I figured he was right. ;)

My ankles pronate, my feet were broken during childhood and never set, and as an adult, I've had numerous, serious back injuries, resulting in one leg being a half inch shorter than the other. I'm happy to be able to wear any shoes after all that. I used to wear low pumps for dressier occasions but now I wear really low pumps. My favorite shoes have soft leather uppers that shape to my feet.

Yeah, I'm going to start going to the gym. We have to do a fitness center orientation first but at least it's free!

I love Laura's jacket. When she stood up to acknowledge the applause, it draped beautifully. Very flattering to her figure also.

Whoa...........do you mind telling me why your broken feet weren't set?
Actually, I had two back injuries which are a significant part of the reason I like my feet flat on the ground.

The hardest part is getting started.
I go to a fitness center too. Lots of work-out equipment to choose from.

Root canal upcoming? Do you have adequate pain meds until then?
(I've never had a toothache, but I've heard they're murder!)
