Not in my case. I don't like women who stay married to men that abuse them and their children. It's one thing to take abuse themselves, but to put your children in harm is another thing.
Andrea Yates was a loon, and should never have been left with her kids. First, she already had post-pardum depression, and then her husband gets her pregnant with another child??? Why???? Then they are homeschooling their kids??? The woman can't handle things, and she's homeschooling kids. Then they lived in a bus. I don't know who's crazier, the husand or Andrea.
If you read her entire medical history,
from start to finish...
All the incidents, from suicide ideations, to catatonic states, to total periods of self starvation and refusing to feed the kids (at kids #2 & 3) to all the meds she was on and off and on and off...
Look, the meds alone are enough to send off warning bells.
Plus her POS hubby wanting more children even after he was told that pregnancy would only exacerbate her condition etc etc etc....
To the wackaloon church she was in....
To family members having boats on a River named Denial...
The woman was clearly NOT someone to leave alone with children....she was not only at risk, but decompensating at a rapid rate.
I'm not saying she isn't culpable, but damn,
if I put a rattlesnake in the crib with my kid,
turn the heat up and poke the snake....
and invite others to poke the snake....
and put 4 more kids in the crib....
And the snake bites all the kids...
I should have my butt kicked too!
