Maybe cops should only be given one bullet,

Sheriff Andy needs to get his Barney in line.

"
A. He would not shut his mouth.
B. I never heard anyone tell him get up.
C. You do not tell the police what you are gonna do...you obey what they say do.
"

I take it you didn't watch the video, or at least a version with sound. You can hear him tell the cop plain as day that he is a member of the service, and you can hear the cop tell him plain as day to get up twice. The kid obeys and gets shot. If you've seen the video, I don't see how you can defend the cop's actions.

Yeah. The kid is laying there on the ground moaning and all the cop can do is keep screaming "Shut the f up! Shut the f up!"

And you can tell he's ready to pump another couple rounds into him.

This is disgraceful. Almost class action material.

I'm very anti trial lawyer, but I'd support any lawsuit this kid files against the city, or the cop. Rarely have I seen more justification for a civil suit.

You're exactly right, and I would almost almost feel better if this WAS a "brown or black thing" rather than a more corrupt and conspired effort to discredit someone who was merely a witness to the incident.

Most all departments have dash cameras and microphones that are worn on the officer, My rural department had them long time ago. I am sure that SBSO has them. I am also sure that the officers microphone feed is damming for the officer otherwise the SBSO would have released it. The audio on that should be better quality that waht is on the video

Side note where I worked we had a policy if you used profanity and someone reported it and the audio confirmed it first time you got a written warning and had to pull office hours (general crap work) second time unpaid suspension, third time fired.

There's been basically one, 1, uno, ein, story come up on Google News on this since yesterday, and it's an AP story that says "video doesn't tell whole story". This is starting to stink to high Heaven.

I just watched a better version of the video

This was complete crap! After firing the JBT (yes he has earned the title now) made no attempt to put distance between himself and suspect, made no attempt to clear suspect for weapons, made no attempt to cuff suspect, he just stood there like a punk and told him to shut the ___ up. Not the actions of someone who was fearful for their life

I too was taught that policemen were my friends like kind old
"Officer O'Hara".

Now I see black-fatigued combat-booted behemoths with
black death's skull baseball caps and body armor.

Now I see steroid pumped and speedball amped thugs proud
of the way their raw power can bend citizens to their will.

That's not a pleasant image.

Well, I'm a bit disgusted right now. For all the talk of "freedom", and "liberty", and "the rule of law", I am reminded that our ancestors fought and died for it. And they didn't fight in Britain, or in Iraq, or in Viet Nam, or any other two bit illiterate dictatorship.

They did it right here.

That says it all.

I haven't thought of CLAIRE WOLFE in a long time
but I just went to her site to add a bookmark.

"Claire Who?"

"Claire Wolfe, writer and professional troublemaker. If you've arrived here on purpose, you already know that. If you've just Googled in on a keyword and have no idea what scandalous company you've taken up with, you can read my Shameless Self-Promotional Copy".

I found the following quote from a related article:

"He was getting out of the car with his hands up and that's when his friend started running. Since my husband was surrendering, they shot him. They shot him on the shoulder, on the chest and the leg," said the victim's wife Mariela Carrion.

So it sounds to me like the officer shot the victim just as the driver was fleeing.

The deputy was probably some freeper from the immigration threads.

yeah, it looked like he was on the passenger side. i wonder where the driver was. did he flee? did the cop have a partner? i have lots of questions. i will say this: i am amazed this type of thing does not happen more often. it is a testament to LEO training and makes this incident all the more troubling. thankfully, it is the exception, not the rule.

Yeah, I have this annoying little habit of wanting to obtain all the facts and THINK to my conclusion, rather than reach it through emotionalism.

The purpose of using deadly force of any variety is to stop the behavior that the suspect is engaging in

Naturally, but you wouldn't shoot a guy for jaywalking right? If this airman was going for a concealed weapon or swinging a pipe or something then deadly force makes sense. Otherwise, couldn't the cop just put his knee in the guys back to make him stay down?

Actually, the deputy is reported to be the son of a former police chief of Compton & an African American.

We ask them as voters, they cheat and force things on us.

It's like Death forcing itself on Life, they want this power and do not like when the "sheeple" force them.

This is hypocristy because they mock us for being pushovers or deadbeats who can't make enough money to pay taxes they impose, yet they tell us we are angry and forceful people when we protest their practices.

We are not their employees, selectively having to do things they tell us to do.
