I hope you're right, and I see the above as a good sign.

Muslims who live in Europe are really clamoring for "anti-blasphemy" laws (which of cuorse will only apply to Islam) and the European Secular Elites are (probably) all for it.

They've finally come around to the fact that extremist hate is growing like a cancer in their countries. They don't want to comdemn it the same way that Bush did because they consider such 'line in the sand' actions to be boorishly American.
