Both a French and a German newspaper have reprinted a series of 12 Danish newspaper cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad that have sparked protests in the Muslim world.
...
Because no religious dogma can impose its view on a democratic and secular society, France Soir publishes the incriminated cartoons," the paper said
...
The German Welt daily put one of the drawings on its front page on Wednesday, saying the picture was "harmless" and regretting that the Danish Jyllands-Posten daily had apologised for causing offense.
"Democracy is the institutionalised form of freedom of expression," the paper said in a front-page commentary.
"There is no right to protection from satire in the West; there is a right to blasphemy."
Any second, Bill Clinton will chime in (on the side of the Mohammedans, of course).
I suddenly have newfound respect for the French and Germans.
I must be imagining things - this cannot be, Europeans standing up to Muslims.
Great minds think alike - you beat me to it by 7 s.
:)
Holy moly, dem boys is a hit!
Perhaps that will be enough for the gullible to wake up and smell the falafal.
imo
F**k 'em if they can't take a joke.....

And, not from the Danish media, but let's not leave out:
I'm actually surprised it wasn't the Dutch that jumped on this before the frogs and fritzes.
I predict the Crusade against the West to be called for in.....

I hope you're right, and I see the above as a good sign.
Muslims who live in Europe are really clamoring for "anti-blasphemy" laws (which of cuorse will only apply to Islam) and the European Secular Elites are (probably) all for it.
I am shocked.
They've finally come around to the fact that extremist hate is growing like a cancer in their countries. They don't want to comdemn it the same way that Bush did because they consider such 'line in the sand' actions to be boorishly American. But if you have a keen eye, you will notice the slow and steady steps they are taking to ensure that a party like Hamas does not gain a foothold in their governments.
Just when you think the French and Germans have no onions they do something politically incorrect. My respect meter just bumped up a notch. Now if they will both just send troops to Iraq or if they will join forces and invade Iran.
I am surprised.
Nothing like the Iranians having a nuke pointed at one to give one courage to say "enough".
I think the Europeans just may be waking up to the barbarian at the door.
There was a joke going around in 2002 before we invaded Iraq. "What's the world coming to? The best golfer in the world is black, the best rapper is white and the Germans don't want to go to war."
The real problem for the Euroweenies is that the barbarians aren't at the door, they're in the living room and the kitchen. Same goes for the U.S.

"First they came for the funny ones"
This is a column fom Florida that I will be sending to the two newspapers in Denver urging them to reprint the Danish cartoons.
