In the court (and courts) of life and death, a little 11-year-old Massachusetts girl named Haleigh Poutre could be the next Terri Schiavo. For those who have not heard the tragic story, Haleigh was beaten nearly to death last September, allegedly by her adoptive mother and stepfather. The beating left her unconscious and barely clinging to life.
Within a week or so of the beating, her doctors had written her off. They apparently told Haleigh's court-appointed guardian, Harry Spence, that she was "virtually brain dead." Even though he had never visited her, Spence quickly went to court seeking permission to remove her respirator and feeding tube. The court agreed, a decision affirmed recently by the supreme court of Massachusetts.
And so, no doubt with the best of intentions, a little girl who had already suffered so much was stripped by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of even the chance to fight to stay alive. If she didn't stop breathing when the respirator was removed, which doctors expected, she would slowly dehydrate to death.
Close Call
Then came the unexpected:

Jodi's mom is dead now from a short illness. She guarded Terri when she was being killed in 2003 but then Terri was saved thanks to the better govt we had in 2003 then we had in 2005.
The judges were always corrupt in 2003 and in 2005 but at least the govt protected Terri from murder in 2003. They abandoned her in 2005 while lying to the public that they were going to go rescue her.
So, I wonder what the policy was while Terri was being killed last March? WINO took sick leave then, a fairly new employee at the jail, and a request went out for other sheriff employees to donate their sick leave to WINO to make up for his time guarding Terri and telling the Schindlers when they could see Terri and when he'd send them back across the street.
I don't know if Jodi's mom had anything to do with the ball being dropped unless she was one of the incompetent boobs who typed up the police report all those years ago. Those two officers who were on the scene sure bombed it big time. Recall that when Terri collapsed in 1990, domestic violence wasn't nearly as high profile a concern within law enforcement as it has become since OJ's wife was murdered.

Judge Greer is responsible for all the adult businesses on 66th Street. There are all kinds of porn business on 66th St.
Greer's a seedy guy always claiming to be religious right. He's not even close...
Greer has no business being a judge. There is so much evidence against him that it should be simple to remove him from office if it weren't for the powerful protecting him.
congrats. you are post 666 and it's about Greer. very appropriate.
Did you ck out the Vigil Photos link that 8mmmauser posted? There's a sign from the Vigil w/OJ, Scott Peterson and guess who on it. I'm not posting it here since Terri's gone, it won't help her, but check it out at the link.
Hi troll. Back, I see, to try to soil the rug again. You are perfectly consistent in spreading your vitriol. I guess if that is all you have it is all you can share. But you will have to sound a little more clever as now you sound like a kid with a tantrum.
As with trolls in the past you do a service by bumping the thread and exposing it, our perspective, and your own dark spouting for others to see and compare.
Ooh, that was a whole lotta name calling in one little post, 8mm. Thanks for that reasoned discourse.
You manage the same vitriol in ALL your posts, troll.
It's hard not to laugh at the irony of someone drawing an imaginary intellectual line, above which the right to life is questionable, below which the right to life is nonexistent, and equal to which is three species above their own level of intellect.

"Massachusetts does not have capital punishment..."
Bull hockey! They have the death penalty. They just don't apply it to criminals. They apply it to abused children, and other disabled people.
Yeah, that would be hilarious, if only it had happened.
I just went ahead and laughed, anyway.
Bioethicists are in the same profession as Ted Bundy. On average, they have more graduate degrees than he, but a lot less charm, and none of his appeal to the opposite sex.
Thanks for the link. So it doesn't seem to have been any motivation for Michael to marry Jodi, it is mere coincidence. FWIW, I think Michael had plenty of incentive for getting hitched when he did. I just wish he had married Jodi years ago.
