She not only was given a gallery ticket by a Congressperson, it was a front row ticket. Last night's live thread had the details. If she had sat there quietly, she would have had as much camera time as the family who were guests of Laura Bush. She is just too stupid to realize what she has done. She has had way too many hours of cameras trained on her antics.
BTW, her ejection was also filmed, so attorneys will have film for evidence that she was not roughed up.
I have been in that gallery for Senate sessions, and ushers do not tolerate making a sound or demonstration of any kind, or taking in anything except a purse. Once, I had a whistle on my carkey chain, and had to check it in the cloakroom.
rules are rules and if woosly knew the "nutcase" was going to make a scene before hand it is her responsibility. but of course a liberal can't be held accountable....
Same recollections here. Everybody in the gallery is treated the same way - zero tolerance for noise, comments, even small buttons with messages on them.
Idiots like Ted Kennedy can rant on the floor all they want, but spectators must all be quiet.
