I'm not going to watch it because it's boring -- it really is boring -- but I hope Philip Seymour Hoffman wins. The guy is an excellent actor.

I'm not sure who Philip Hoffman is or what role he played. If it was the Capote thing, I wouldn't pay to see it either. I am hoping Joaquin Phoenix wins for "Walk the Line". He absolutely nailed Johnny Cash! I am no C&W fan, nor did I ever listen to much Johnny Cash...but Phoenix BECAME Johnny Cash...the way Cash held his shoulder, looked, etc. And Phoenix sang all of the songs himself.

Just my opinion...Joaquin Phoenix deserves best actor. Probably won't get it though.
