Has he ever been to John Ash & Co? My wife was a chef there for years. Wonderful food and a great wine list. The view from the patio is marvelous.

I remember sipping some fine Chard and munching on oysters there one fine northern California evening wondering how such a wonderfully lovely place full of great wine, great food, great beers, exquisite scenery, and a fine climate could have been totally taken over by such a bunch of whackjobs.

Wish your son luck for me, and if he stops by John Ash tell 'em Karen says hello to Jeffrey.

Wow! A blast from the past! I used to live in Santa Rosa myself, and we went to John Ash often. It was one of the first places of that kind to make it north of Marin county; your wife must indeed be a chef worthy of the name.

Next time I go out to visit, I'll get my son and we'll go out for dinner at John Ash and convey Karen's greetings to Jeffrey. Small world!
