Yep, I've known gay men, too. They weren't bad folks, for the most part. All of them, however, were wildly promiscious in a fashion that is hard to exaggerate. My landlord, who was gay, had about 100 lovers in the six months I lived at his house. Like I say, a nice guy. Solid citizen, honest, kept a clean home, spotless yard. This article paints a portrait that is simply not the reality as I have witnessed it. I've never known a gay man to tell me that he's sought a family, either. My sense of it at the time was that being gay was like the male sexual fantasy - all sex, all the time, without strings attached, just one long orgasm. I have a feeling that a lot of men, whether they admit it or not, fantasize about women in that way, which might explain the popularity of porn. The difference is that gay men, because of the biology of the act, get to indulge the fantasy without any of the things that women would bring to the picture, like pregnancy.
Most of the lesbians I've known, however, have had longterm relationships, in serial fashion - usually with lovers lasting from one to five years. I've always been intrigued by that observation, too. Maybe there is something deep in our core consciousness that tends men toward promiscuity and women toward monogamy.
Either way, this article is propoganda. There is no equivalence between the gay and heterosexual lifestyle. Interestingly, in the distant past, when I was young and the gay rights movement was also young, I remember activists calling explictly for cultivating relationships with the young as part of the expression of gayness. Don't hear it anymore. It was spoken, though, and it was heard by those of us there.
Well, there IS one consequence that they have to deal with. But since they have managed to inflict heterosexuals with it, it's no longer solely they concern.
Of homosexuals questioned in one study, 43% admitted to 500 or more partners in a lifetime, 28% admitted to 1000 or more in a lifetime, and of these people, 79% said that half of those partners were total strangers, and 70% of those sexual contacts were one night stands.

homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor
