Cindy Sheehan Arrested Moments Before Bush State of the Union Speech C. L. Cook
PEJ News January 31, 2006
Enduring the last hour of CNN's political "coverage" of George W. Bush's State of the Union, indistinguishable in style and substance, than the tedious preamble certain to precede next week's Super Bowl XL (Go Seahawks!), a momentary blimp in the pallid farce passing as analysis for the media corpse these sad days: "Cindy Sheehan has been arrested!"
It took Wolf, Jeff, Paula, and that King guy only a heartbeat to frame the issue: "I think some Democrats are going to be very upset that one of their colleagues extended an invitation to the controversial, Sheehan."
Apparently, Sheehan was grabbed trying to unfurl a banner, something banned in the chamber, and was drug away by Capitol Hill Police.
This according to CNN.

So - let's postulate that what Sheehan did was illegal and she's arrested.
If that's the case, should not the leftist elected official that brought her into the gallery be charged as an accesssory?

What she did is against the rules for anyone in one of the Congressional galleries. You can't bring signs. Moonbats tried it before and were promptly excused with extreme prejudice.

The gallery is high up above the chamber. Why didn't some patriot just throw her over the railing? Now that would be something worth interrupting the President over.

It's nice to see that they took Sheehan out in cuffs right away.

She should get censured for this, but what will probably happen is that members of Congress will not be permitted to invite anyone to the SOTU without approval of the speaker.

I'd rather see her led out in a straitjacket.
