There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
Good night Miss Marple.
Lynne did look a bit tired.
That made me SO mad. I can the commercial now: dims want Social Security to stay the same. So much for MY retirement. I guess they don't care.
He needs to be in Rehab..........for the next 20 years, or so.....
Stevens is 82.....and today it was reported on a local radio station that Stevens said....."I was appointed under a Republican President, and I'll retire under a Republican President." FWIW.
Life lived with traditional values and morals makes them angry (and guilty, I think).
think there's a nice Rehab place in Siberia....
I lurk quite often to see the pictures, especially now that I have a cable modem! It was tough with dial-up.
This is what LEADERSHIP is all about, onyx! And we have ourselves a LEADER!
I didn't see this the first time around but Bryer and Thomas clapped when the Pres mentioned Roberts and Alito. It does look like those are the only four there. I wonder what happened to the rest of them...especially Scalia. He missed Roberts' swearing in and now the SOTU? Is something going on?
That could have happened ANY year......
LOL!!!
He was absolutely in command! Totally confident and smooth as silk. I am so proud of him and grateful for him.
He said that??? Maybe there's hope for him yet.
They have within them a God-planted conscience that they are choosing to ignore and live apart from.
They feel VERY guilty.........except maybe Hillary. I truly think she has seared her conscience and is evil.
Dubya was fantastic tonight. Excellent State of the Union.
Starwise, I AGREE! I think the Dims hate the President cause he is genuinely a good, moral man and rather than see him as an inspiration, they resent him and try to drag him down. But, he remains steady...and that probably drives them crazy!
Lol yeah I didn't think of that. Probably not just any year but every year. He's red faced and disturbed a lot.
Just watched Fiddler on the Roof. Siberia sounds like the perfect place!
Really?
Wow!
It'd be great if President Bush got to replace Stevens.
Maybe he's been happy with the quality of people that Bush has appointed to be his colleagues.
