I kept wondering whether Governor Kaine's dreary generic reprise applied only to health care for pre-kindergarten or whatever he was talking about, or whether he'd also use it for Iran's nukes. I liked this State of the Union more than his others, it was combative and self-assured. It was good that he attached "radical Islam" by name. I thought he spent too much time on AIDS (bird flu is a much greater potential threat). Overall, I give it an A-.

First rule of politics. sports, war, etc. - never, ever, ever underestimate your opponent. Quickest way to lose the next election is for every Republican campaign worker to think just that.
It's sort of like stopping to look at a bad accident... sometimes we just have to...lol.

Based on the applause criteria the dems are for socialism, or as Kanine says "The Third Way" (wink, wink) and against security and freedom. Truly amazing display. I don't think even the casual observer could miss that.
