Gov. Kathleen Blanco will attend President Bush's state of the union speech to Congress, her office said Monday.
The governor has been at odds with the White House over government response to Hurricane Katrina, but was invited to sit in the gallery for Bush's speech on Tuesday night, Blanco's office said.
The president is expected to focus his address on a package of energy of proposals aimed at promoting fuel-saving technologies.

She and several parish presidents will be guests of Sen. Mary Landrieu for the SOTU.
Thursday she'll be making the rounds in DC...including a visit with Andy Card and others at the White House.

focus his address on a package of energy of proposals aimed at promoting fuel-saving technologies. Oh yes. Corporate welfare is the highest priority facing our nation. More subsidies for clean coal technologies, fuel cell development, solar and wind power, etc. Puke.

Imagine this in the SOTU:
"Our country can no longer tolerate incompetent State and local leaders who then feel the need to blame the Federal government. We need to call them out and expose them. Governor Blanco, please stand up...."

CNN just announced Cindy Sheehan will be in the gallery tonight as the guest of Rep. Lynn Wolsey.
What do you want to bet Comrade Sheehan jumps up and starts protesting in the middle of the speech?

I hope she does, and gets tackled to the ground and led away. Perhaps everyone will then see what a freak this woman is. She really has no shame.

In case of a bomb threat I hope she's not in charge of evacuating the building.

Unbelievable. It appears the Congress may be past being trusted not to abuse its privilege of inviting guests to the SOTU.

Wouldn't the secret service have the option of barring her from the room? She cavorts with numerous enemies of the United States. If anyone is a security risk, its mother sheehan.

I just don't know how President Bush puts up with all this planned crap from the dems. Its gonna be this way until the fall elections.

Just as I think democrats can't get anymore despicable, they always prove me wrong. I fully expect there to be rude booing from the dems tonight. They won't be able to come to a dignified event and behave professionally. And I hope the cameras will catch them in the act.

Its gonna be this way until the fall elections. It won't stop unless the Dems take both houses of Congress and regain the White House.

Yep, and if they win in the fall, which I believe they will not, they would then go for impeachment. That is their plan.
