Guess we now know why allowing the ChiComs to censor Google's search engine isn't so evil.

Don't you have to love it just a little when taxes hit deserving libs hard?

I stopped using Google when they were so out with their Bush-basing. I don't need them that much and refuse to support their anti-Americanism.

I don't understand the hatred of Google here on FR.
These people created a product that is the best of its kind on the Internet. All on their own without government handouts or whining about their competitors.
Yeah, they're run by a bunch of liberals. But I thought FR supported good-old fashioned free market capitalism and American know-how. Guess I was wrong.

I like Dogpile, too. I also use Clusty, but it's not as thorough as some of the other search engines.

How does Google make any money at all? I don't notice any ads on their page. I don't think they take payment for increasing a search match score.

I absolutely agree with you (is this becoming a habit?)
Likewise...I will NEVER give up Ben & Jerry's ice-cream either! ;^)

Mostly, they make their money on click-thru ads and the sponsored links on a search results page.

Apparently they don't recruit the same level of intellect for their accounting department as they do for IT, eh? ;-)

Why are Freepers leery of Google? Censorship/cooperation with the commies? Left wing nuts setting a precedent?

What can I say? I like Coke more than Pepsi. I use www.dogpile.com instead.

It's a lot of money for a search engine and some hype.
