PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Don't expect to hear President Bush's State of the Union speech in Market Square in Portsmouth (New Hampshire) this evening.
Critics of the president plan to make a loud statement, saying public silence is a statement of consent.
Seacoast Peace Response is holding a rally during the speech and inviting people to come and make noise by blowing car horns, banging drums, playing music ... whatever.
Former state Senator Burt Cohen, one of the organizers, says people can't afford to be quiet. He says the group objects to the president's handling of the war in Iraq, terrorism, government spying and other issues.
(9 p.m., Market Square)
Teddy K in college.
Except in the movie Bluto ended up with a real babe.
Yeah, and you know why the libs are all moving north into northern New England...lower taxes! Hah! Not for long.
I was speaking of the protest in D.C.
....too bad they can't turn up the volume on the speakers so the "spoiled brats" would have to listen to the SOTU address.
I suppose if they were machine-gunned, there'd be hell to pay . . . but I'd be willing to take that chance.
Firehosed?
Counter protesters should take radios and portable boom boxes and all tune to the same radio station playing the State of the Union Address.
Drown the protesters out with the state of the union speech.
Precisely. I have noticed a distinct similarity between the brownshirt wearing German fascists and the DNC's mask-wearing fascists.
Both will use shouting and violence toward people they disagree with.
Fascism is as fascism does.
Unbelievable that there are so many people who live their lives having Ted Kennedy and John Kerry as their heroes.
Their insanity did not begin when they became of voting age. Had to start long before that.
The President: SOTU
The Protesters: STFU
New Hampshire Democrat Burt Cohen, who was set to challenge Republican Senator Judd Gregg, has dropped out of the race because his campaign funds apparently were stolen, the Granite State's WMUR reports.

Which our public schools and colleges have been doing for decades. Unfortunately we are just starting to fight back. Standing firm is the only course now. Thanking GOD for the alternate media which has shown us what the MSM has been covering up.
Not only can we not trust Democrats, it seems they can't trust each other.
Lack of character tends to lead to that. Thankfully.
Yea but add some soap to the hoses. Did you ever smell a wet dog that hasn't been washed?
