Quite the contrary, you have a valid point. However the western nations who have been dealing with Islamic terrorism have not been forthright in openly confronting the obvious connections between Islam itself and terrorism, and it's questionable legitimacy as a religion compatible with western democracies, despite what the Constitutional scholars say. They continue to harp the religion of peace mantra. As a natural backlash, some have resorted to ridicule as you see in the political cartoons. They are reminiscent of something you might see in Der Sturmer. The way to confront these problems is to open the dialog floodgates and discuss within official channels the politically incorrect notion that perhaps Islam itself may have to be curtailed or outright prohibited in western non-Islamic nations. Until then, get used to crude and juvenile political artwork.

Islam isn't a religion, it's a totalitarian blood cult.

It's isn't a deviation of Christianity, or Judaism. It's 'god" isn't the God of the bible. This is a misconception propagated by Ilamic apoligists and ignorant media.

I understand your point of view. However, this is not mocking the religion or Mohammad; it is depicting an aspect of the religion that is murderous and ugly.

If the cartoonist had placed Mohammad having sex with a pig or a homo or something like that, that would be mocking. But all the cartoons do is comment on the violent aspects of the religion used by jihadists to kill. The depictions are accurate and the Mussies murder in the name of Mohammad. Mussies don't like being exposed starkly but they have to be seen and see themselves if they are to stop what they are doing.

About poking a dog you don't plan to shoot. I agree with that. If we are to say we have free speech and then tolerate Mussies rioting about it, we are not really protecting free speech. We are not committed to the rule of law which free speech depends upon. We should shot the mad dog whenever it breaks the law in the name of it's violent religion.
