CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Kidnapped U.S. journalist Jill Carroll has appeared in a new video on Al-Jazeera. In it, she's weeping and appealing for the release of women Iraqi prisoners.
Last week, five Iraqi women were freed from U.S. custody. U.S. officials said the release had nothing to do with the demands by Carroll's kidnappers that the U.S. release Iraqi women.
No sound was aired with the video. But Al-Jazeera said she appealed for the release of women Iraqi prisoners.
She's visibly crying in the video, and is wearing a conservative Islamic veil.
If she is not a convert to Islamania I will be completely shocked. The first videos of her showed such a lack of fear it is obvious that she was either drugged or complicit. I smell a big rat.
"We didn't have to kill every German or Nazi to rid the world of Nazism. "
Not a good analogy.
#1 - Nazis didn't exist for 100s of years, Hitler started the German Nazi party in the 1930s.
#2 - Nazis were a political party. Sure they used some of the evil tactics of muslims, but Nazis are political. muslims are a "religion", and since they describe themselves as such, it gives them more ground. muslims can begin indoctrination earlier. They can reach into EVERY aspect of a follower's life all in the name of fidelity, and obidence to allah.
muslims are a much more dangerous enemy than the Nazis were. muslims are indoctrinated, and therefore, in general, much more evil. The Nazi evil came from the top, and by the time it got to the average citizen, it was difused. muslim evil is known to all and accepted by most.
Know your enemy. They truely are your enemy.
I think we would be wise to refer to Jill Carroll as a martyr in the battle against evil.
Let loose the Viking Kitties.
You should have nothing to fear from the kitties. Many of us are very cynical about this "abduction".

What ever happened to the hostage/journalist who "noone knew was missing" until Americans busted in on his little hidey hole, er I mean place of captivity? That sure was odd. Was it a matter of good or bad fortune for him?
I would suggest we raid Al Jezera's offices and drop their entire staff into a boiling vat until someone tells us where these terrorist are.
I feel so sorry for this woman and her family and friends, but I do hope the stardust has gone from her eyes and she realizes exactly what these people are.
If I am wrong I will apologise but I believe she is working with the Insurgents.
Glad to see I'm in good company Thinkin' Gal. Just suspicious at this point, but I read there's been something like 178 abductions and only 38 executions. Considering the general rarity of giving into the demands, it kinda makes one wonder.

We must kill every islamist, and anyone that gets in the way. If a hostage is killed, on their head be it. We will not win this by sucking up to them. It doesn't work. Never has, never will.
I never heard that.
She DID look drugged in the first video... the eyes are way dilated and not tracking together.
Not surprising, as the truth is not the Old Media's agenda.
He eventually admitted he went on behest of Hezbollah.

Katie Couric missed that bit in her softball interview, I guess?!
Prayers...praying...
That is what it looked like to me as well.
We have already negotiated with them, id est released five female terrorists. They are holding out for more and know they will get what ever they demand because they are dealing with a weak people. Sadly, IMO, if they get you, you are as good as dead. no negotiation, no ransom; just the promise of death for your murderers after the fact.
We are getting sucked so far down this rat hole by those using our respect for life and our foolish belief in the ultimate goodness within people against us that we may well deserve to be exterminated.
I would not negotiate in any manner with those who took her, and definitely would have never made any gesture (like releasing the five Iraqi terrorists bitches). The only statement I would make to her captors is: WE WILL FIND YOU AND THEN WE WILL KILL YOU.
I thought ALL liberals looked that way. I mean, heck...Alan Colmes...
Remember, she was on assignment for the Christian Science Monitor when she was kidnapped. She lived with Iraqis when on assignment for CSM. This is a quote from CSM: "Carroll's relatives also pleaded for her release, urging her captors to "consider the work she has done to reveal the truth about the Iraq war."
I believe you are totally justified in being cynical.
