CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR'S Jill Carroll appeared in a new video aired on Al-Jazeera, weeping and appealing for the release of women Iraqi prisoners... Developing...
< I would like to think I would hold it together in similar circumstances, but I'm not sure I would. Withhold some food and sleep and dabble in psychological torture, I might well be there with her. I feel for the poor woman.

I agree. I would have been a basket case in the FIRST video. I've seen the Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl videos. Unlike Mz. Carroll, I would KNOW that they are going to kill me. I think she thought she was ok before. They've obviously done some communicating with her.
If true how terribly sad. Now she is without the God's Guidance and Grace as He promised and provided in the 23rd Psalm:
"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever."
Well it looks like the enemy is mistreating (torturing) a prisoner. Where are all the customary condemnations from the usual suspects on the left??
Absolutely no negotiations with kidnappers, it'll only encourage more kidnappings.
Let loose the Viking Kitties.
The MSM have decided to sacrifice Miss Carroll to their Al Qaeda masters.
They will not decry her treatment and that she has most likely been violated by her captors from the day she was abducted.
My gut insticnts tell me you are right. She may be a convert to islamanzi.
I wouldn't shoot you for the statement, but I would point out that you have absoultely no basis in making such a statement and it displays a total lack of class. What I know of the young lady I know through reading her own reports and accounts about her on some of her friends blogs--she and they are no friends of the insurgency or terrorists. She will most likely die as the ending to a horrific experience she did not deserve-- she certainly doesn't deserve wild accusations about her character at this point.
Does this look like someone who is in cohoots with her captors?

No it sure doesnt. You are right to point that out...but that doesnt mean this wasnt a set up gone bad.
Perhaps my distrust for the media has clouded my judgement on this. My first reaction when she was "snatched" was it's a scam as in the geman woman's case.
They blew away her translator when they abducted her, so I truly believe she wasn't a collaborator with the terrorists. But she was extremely naive to think that she wasn't a prime target for kidnappers.
It would be dangerous not to wear the head scarf when reporting in those regions.
Jackass.
They see journalists as spies; the idea that just because the journalist may be sympathetic means they will be let go is sophomoric logic.
"Some were released, I think, not all, and I believe they're demanding all."
A few were. Just emboldened the terrs or Baathist mafia.
and the moment she is released she will go back to bashing our troops and the u.s goverment
Why do you suppose they've been taking the peaceniks?
Good point, and news flash, everybody know the risks of going there and just because you are cute, does not mean your head won't come off the same as an ugly person's. Carla Fay Tucker anyone?
