I took at look at the web page. It angers me that a university in the USA would waste a position on its faculty for a person whos critical thinking skills are so much mush. Truly sad and pathetic.

You are right - it is pathetic, and it is so particularly in the classical, tragic sense of the word. I hope it does not shock or surprise you to learn that a lack of critical thinking skills is today the norm among our university Professoriat (particularly outside of the natural sciences). The rejection of reason, morality, and the tools of cognition are the hallmark of today's intellectual class.
