I'm Frickin' Tired Of Looking On The Bright Side!!! We LOSE EVERY SINGLE TIME! Not just on the big things, not just on the little things....not just on the court cases, the wars, the economy, etc. etc........BUT EVERYTHING! This country is headed a certain way, and every single day that passes, I begin to realize I don't think I belong here much longer. I feel confined and trapped due to not having financial means to retire somewhere overseas....because if I did I might consider it. Someday.....but will I make it to that someday by continuing to live here. That's the real question.

It really doesn't - and it is delicious on so many levels. For our friend to have "financial means" he would have to actually work for a living, in which case his point of view might well be decidedly different. Alternatively, he may be a blue-blooded serial seducer of wealthy widows who jets off to five-star Swiss ski resorts to rail against social inequities at news conferences conveniently scheduled between manicures.
