Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. For a mere $7 apiece, you can get real live butterflies in cunning little boxes, one for each guest, for them to set free after the reading of a particularly sappy poem.

and when it's all over, you and your guests find pieces of butterfly wings and antennae on the pavement... isn't that romantic? the ads never mention that part... ick...

For some reason, Alan Alda never affected me like Farrell. I'm not sure why. Maybe because Alda was actually FUNNY. And Farrell always struck me as a smarta$$ with a script.

Kerry: To this moment not more than 25 Dem Senators have had a chance to speak.

LIE. There was much "empty time" when notta Rat Senator took to the podium last week.

Guess they were all in Davos, eh Johnny?

RI has a Republican governor, it's not such a wild idea.

Chaffee has sat on his assets and there he is. The trouble is, he thinks that he can continue to do so.

53 Republicans firmly against filibuster Chafee and Snowe are question marks although they will likely vote for cloture.

Update: Chafee now firm for cloture

Supporting fauxibluster:

Kennedy
Kerry
Sarbanes (retiring)
Feinstein
Dodd
Durbin
Clinton
Boxer
Schumer
Obama
Reid
Leahy
Wyden
Feingold
Stabenow
Reed
Biden (now supports)
Harkin (abstain)

Support Cloture:

Byrd
Nelson
Landrieu
Pryor
Salazar
Dorgan
Lieberman(likely)
Conrad
Johnson
Akaka
Nelson (Fla) likely
Bingaman (likely)

That 54 Rs +9 Ds = 63 to vote for cloture + 2 likely.
