Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...
Kennedy contradicted himself so many times today...saying nothing is as important...then minutes later...giving a litany of all of the stuff the Senate hasn't been able to do...pfffffft
Had to stop and throw some dinner together but came back to the computer to email him a note of thanks for a job well done. Wonder if Zell gave him some of his notes. :o)

We have a Cracker Barrel about 5 miles from here and we haven't eaten at one since we went south on vacation about 10 years ago. I am getting hungry thinking about biscuits (and I am on a diet so I will have to wait until summer).
DeMint did remind me of Zell Miller. Mr Peach asked me to send him a note too regarding a job well done.

Inhofe. It's back to sanity time! He's going to talk about what our president inherited when he took office re: military. And if he sounds partisan, it's because when it comes to military matters, he is partisan. That's what HE said!

Saw mill gravy is a white gravy -- made from sausage drippings. I love it. I drench the biscuits and slather it over everything else on my plate!
I gained 12 pounds the first couple of months I was here from eating at the Cracker Barrel and making their gravy at home. I have since taken off the weight.
Inhofe - I look back at the Cold War and remember that we knew what the Soviet Union had in terms of military and equipment, etc. During the 90's, during the Clinton drawdown, General Jumper, who became Chief of the Air Force in 1998 or 99 said we couldn't continue the insane drawdown of our military.
You're in Indiana aren't you? I'm glad to see the migration northward of good southern food. You will never be disappointed by a cracker barrel. They have the best quality control of any chain in the country.
