So Alito is in, the Kos Kidz and DUmmies have been wasting phone calls, and Kerry is a chump.

I would say the entire Democrat Party has become the Chump Party.

It happened when Soros (of moveon.org fame) said something to the effect of "The Democrat Party now belongs to us. We bought and paid for it".

It's almost sad to see the death of a once proud party. I said almost.

I think it's still a fair bet that the cloture vote will be called off, "vitiated."

Not that I've heard. Substantively, it's no matter. As a piece of drama, it puts a bit of weight on the "call of cloture, since we know it's going to pass anyway" side of the scale.
