In just two seasons, Ben Roethlisberger already has stamped his ticket as one of the NFL's top young quarterbacks. He has won 26 of 30 career starts -- including a 4-1 record in the postseason. He has appeared in two conference championship games, and he's about to become the second-youngest quarterback to start in the Super Bowl.
What would leading the Steelers to a victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL do to his already lofty stature?
Likely send it skyrocketing higher than the USX Tower.

For the sake of the Steelers, we will have to win. If this quarterback were to win the big one now, you couldn't find a helmet for him next year. On top of that, you couldn't afford his price once he becomes available. So, on your behalf, we, the SEAHAWKS, will have to win.

I think the Steelers need to win just so that the Vince Lombardi trophy doesn't rust in all of the Seattle rain.

Roethlisberger, arguably the greatest QB Iowa's ever beaten 3 times. Fortunately for him he does better when the Black and Gold are on HIS sideline.
Huh? Roethlisberger only started one year at Miami (OH), and won all those starts. Are you thinking of Randle-El, who played at Indiana?

To Ben's credit, he is the first to say that. When asked, he will tell anyone listening that in his opinion Brady is the best QB playing. So far, he seems to be a fairly well-grounded young man.
I've always hated the extra week before the Super Bowl. It might have made sense many, many years ago, but today the game has no need at all of the overblown extra media hype. It should just be one week.

If both teams are smart and don't say anything stupid during interviews that's about all the story you ever get. A couple of old timers seeking redemption/ completion and a couple of newbies seeking immortality early.
