I have some very exciting news, my friends! In about two weeks (on February 5), I will be on the air at KRLA 870AM in Los Angeles. The show will air on Sunday nights (into Monday morning) midnight-2am.
I am thrilled and am in the process of planning programming now. So much to talk about. My biggest problem right now is what to talk about on the FIRST show. I'm open to suggestions :)
P.S. For those outside the Los Angeles area, you can listen to the show online at http://www.krla870.com/
Lores Rizkalla, UCLA grad and former high school teacher
Thanks RightOnline!
I'm getting my program together now! It's hard to keep it local when there's so much going on nationally (and internationally). But, I shall heed your advice. I hope you get to listen :)
i like the live thread idea. maybe when we get the routine down, we can start that in a few weeks. thanks!
well accoriding to the responses on this thread....very few think like you.
offer up some congrats and move along mr. wet blanket
TatieBug, I LOVE that idea. I think I'm gonna talk about that THIS Sunday! I'll be sure to give "TatieBug" of FR credit!!!! :)
That was my first guess. We get people in here pushing blogs all the time.
Thank you Mr. Silverback,
Since I am a news-junkie, the news of the day is what's on my mind!
Thank you!!
I've been a freeper for a looong time, and I still have a pretty bad attitude.
Since you have significant time to fill........cover local topics first, then national, then international. Might allow your audience to really tune in to the topics of greatest interest to them in an orderly (and somewhat predictable, but in a good way) manner. Those who care most about local, LA issues will tune in early without hearing about Iraq, etc. Make sense?
Thank you, WashingtonStateRepublican!
I do hope to have the audio on my site (www.justawoman.com) each week, even if it's just highlights to start with.
Thanks for your support!
Good Luck, BTW. Radio's a fun gig.
yeah, that makes sense. i will post an overview of the program later this week on my site. i'm sure i'll find a healthy rhythm as we go.
thanks so much for your encouragement, support and advice :)
Congratulations on achieving a wonderful dream. Keep up the conservative agenda and don't let the libs get you down.
Remember that there are more conservatives in the country (although LA may be different) than libs.
Good luck and God Bless.
Well, readers do think the same as I did, but very few actually post if they thought the same or not.
offer up some congrats and move along mr. wet blanket.
I'm sure JustaWoman doesn't mind the controversy, it brings up the hits on the thread. But, you do have a point...
Congratulations JustaWoman on your radio show. I wish you well.
I have to move along now.
My pleasure..please add me to the ping list..
I volunteer as the keeper of the 'JustaWoman' ping list... I'll add you as the first person on the list.
Hi Rondog!
Thanks for the ping!
Some suggestions (in no particular order):
1) Get Ted Hayes on your show;
2) That guy from UCLA who started monitoring liberal UCLA professors
3) LAPD Chief Bratton;
4) Doug From Upland and his songs
5) Kristinn
Oh, and good luck.
RD
Best wishes
