This is a Rosetta Stone in ten thousand words of the current and coming geostrategic standoff.

I point out that the two ABC "anchormen" merely injured by an IED received more media sympathetic coverage than the 2,000 U.S. warriors killed thus far on whose graves these two ABC fifth columnists danced a twisted jig every day of the war.

At root is the matter of will: we need Patton not Sarah Lister ("Marines are a little extreme").

Now we don't need to scold and defund Hamas--we need to kill them.

We don't need to understand Ahmadinejad's call for killing all Israelis as a fitting segue to his Mahdi/twelfth imam OCD--we need to put him under a building waiting for DNA results.

In my view, any detainee is one too many--it gives Durbin something to cry about--Durbin who himself should be a detainee.

We as a nation have risen superbly to the darkest challenge--as recently as sixty years ago--but today?

We can't give a child rapist more than sixty days--how can we rally a nation to actually win this "war on terror"?

Particularly when Democrats and their media work tirelessly for our enemies?

Our borders are wide open, the propaganda is category five against us, fighter funding was cut by a congress which raised its pay, while Islamists build nukes in Iran and sit on VX in Syria, and China hews to its published plan:

Unrestricted Warfare, by Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui (Beijing: PLA Literature and Arts Publishing House, February 1999)

I favor the retro approach: Fallujah? Daisy cutters. Hostage-takers demand release of prisoners? Do the release a la KGB Beirut 1983.

"World opinion"? Why is al Jazeera still broadcasting?

Why have the NYT NSA leakers not been arraigned in full orange jumpsuit and shackle array?

Is there a war on or will the current obeisance to IAEA and Security Council niceties result in the next terror event being measured in kilotons?

Thank you, Cannoneer No. 4, for a very thought-provoking article.

Thank you, Cannoneer No. 4, for a very thought-provoking article.

I'll second that and thank you Phildragoo for spot on commentary, the best commentary on FR and maybe in the world, imo.

Per my above post, some pertinent studies regarding Divine Discipline.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1568429/posts

Reading the above notes should not be misconstrued as declaring 'Woe is us, all this is because God is punishing us'. Instead it is a series of notes for students of Scripture to understand how believers will be held accountable by God when nations He as chosen to perform His will, rebel, grieve and attempt to quench the Holy Spirit.

This is pertinent to the US War on Terror because many of our adversaries today were people not cognizant of Christ, yet many believers of Christ chose to use the Muslims as pawns against the USSR in the Cold War, instead of providing them encouragement in God through faith in Christ.

Whenever believers fall away from Him, then attempt to counterfeit His plan by a worldly cosmic system of counterfeit power, believers fall into risk of divine discipline.

If the believer fails to return to God upon one cycle of disicpline, a second will follow, seven times more severe than the first. This historically has continued through five cycles of disicpline, when the rebellious nation is removed from grace (after the third cycle) and destroyed.

The emphasis is upon the believer in God through faith in Christ. Other religious perspectives from a secular or comparative religion perspective simply display a human arrogance to His divine plan made available to all men. There is only one way to return to Him and that is through faith in the Son of God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

What should be seen as War.....is reduced to a Movie trailer teaser with the header....conflict...or controlled conflict.

The verbage betrays who is writing the screenplay.
Ya....its the Businessman and those who supplicate at his feet.
In any talking head segment...the term *Option occurs over and over.
Its a blurr now.....as option is microwaved quickly and dished up from Washington.....or delivered from the sewer grate outside Washington Post...direct to CNN for Wolf Blitzers show.
But everyone gets option.......you hear it in Spanish from Fox,Chavez and Castro,...to French,German....Chinese Russian.....and dominating all voices.....the Muslim speak on option.

Option reeks of compromise and treacherous dealing.

We are choking on this......and reaching for our Bibles for clarity.

The Almighty declares you have a destiny.

The world answers back,

"No....we have an option"!

Gen 6: ...Then the Lord said,...."My Spirit will not contend with man forever,.....for he is mortal"

The name Noah is interesting for the subtle message which is encoded in the forward.
In the Hebrew... Noah [No'akh] means rest....but it also imparts the verb/actual - silent...to be silent after.

We should not push a folded paper with the word option written on it accross the table toward the Almighty
we probably will not like what happens next.

....And the Earth was silent.
