I'd add that the main reason homosexual marriage is becoming viable today is because over the past 30-40 years (roughly when the pill/abortion on demand/leftists ascendant became pandemic) normalcy has been defined down and deviancy defined up.

So true. In these instances too, the traditional mainstream community is to blame along with the deviant community. In their pursuit of the next headline, hit recording, television rating, box office receipts, power, or friendship people from mainstream America bent the rules. It's not that these mainstream people were bad people. Rather, it was that they lacked the foresight to foresee what their actions would bring.

I recall President Reagan addressing the outbreak of AIDS during his administration. At the time AIDS was entirely within the male homosexual population. He made the decision not to seek to have the infected population confined away from the general population as was the practice with people spreading syphilis and gonorrhea. Along with signing the most liberal abortion legislation in the nation as Governor of California in the late sixties, he erred in some of his most important decisions, and the ramifications still ripple throughout our nation today.
