My husband is 13+ years older than I and our 13th anniversary will be here in a few months.
Some folks just don't get it and I see you are one of them!!!
My mother was 12 years older than my father, and from everything I've been told about them (they passed when I was six, so my memory is scant at best), theirs was a love story for the ages.
Don't let anyone ever get away with prejudging your situation. Here's to the next 13 (26, 39...)!
Thirteen years is not really a lot.
She is 19 and he is 32.
That is a lot.
You can't see that?
Well then we must respectfully disagree on some things.

My husband and I have a l3 year age diffence, and have been married 26 years. I was involved in a euthanasia thread here recently, and some guy had the nerve to say that my husband was my "father figure", that our marriage was "scary", that my husband was too old to marry me (he was 33, I was 20), called my husband a grandpa (we have no grandchildren yet), and crowed about how he had married a woman 5 months younger than himself- so he had a normal family and I didn't. (BTW, this moron was pro-euthanasia.)
I was pretty astounded to get this response on a conservative website. You're right, some people just don't get it. Maybe the people posting the negative comments are divorced and bitter?
