Support the troops and all they do
They've given up so much
All for me and you

There are so many here
Who keep the aim sure and true
They support the troops
And have lots of fun too

We dance and play
And spin on our toes
A turn of phrase
A joke or some prose

All for the troops
Who visit and bask
Looking for a friend
A break from their task

So thanks to my friends
You know who you are
This army sister's brother
Is home from the war

You made my life easy
You taught me some things
You brought me such peace
You gave me wings

I'll always hold dear
The ones who have cared
Who gave me their true friendship

Acronyms, initialisms and abbreviations that aren't generally used in the "civilian world."

Every Marine’s right to be heard. At every step up the chain of command any Marine may request to see the next person in authority all the way to the Commandant of the Marine Corps. When a request mast is asked for the Marine does not have to explain why, but he or she must make the request at every step up the ladder. If a Marine requests mast to the CMC he or she had better have a good reason. More here!

If I could write a poem about you
it would goes like this somehow

A guy named Tomkow
A Sailor retired
didn't retire his ways
when he left the Navy.

His Bad Boyz attire
has never expired
even tho he has
progressed in age.

He enjoys wreaking havoc
in the Canteen
burned down the kitchen
in one routine scheme

He brings out the skunks
to frightening we galzs
brings home drunken buddies
makes us hold our nose.

His clothes are a disgrace
they make us scrunch our face
something Burkas he sells
and doesn't do very well

We let him come in
cause some of us like him
but his pets must be kept
outside in the pen..

Mr. Tonkin, the traffic cop,
doesn't like us to romp
but once in a while we
let loose and act
like a silly goose.
